I was ignoring some of my own statistical info and was persuaded by the line movement. My understanding was that the majority of the public was on the GMen, yet the line was going up ???? That reeled me in.

I knew Dallas was a poor cover as a favorite of recent history plus

I had tracked Div NFC Road dogs as being 4-9 thru ten weeks this yr and I know that the norm is closer to 50% and the back part of the schedule is heavier with these divisional games. I was slightly puzzled by the big divisional dog lines, but in hindsight I realize it is because of the fav's covering 69.2% thru out those 1st 10 wks and that the lines must go up in order to ensure that they come back closer to the 50% range.  I was also tracking NFC fav's of 3.5 to 6.5 points ( which I call the Teaser fav's ) and noticed that they  had gone 8-2 recently ( wks  8 thru 12 -- they had been 10-9 for the 1st 7 weeks of the season) winning at 80% before turning in week 13 with 2 losses.

In a re-examination it is clear that the way to play the NYG last night would've been because of an abnormality of dogs/ favs in this type of scenario . 

Since wk 11 NFC Div dogs went 2-1 ; 1-0 ; 0-1 ; now 2-0 with St Lou pending MNF. Just my 2 cents worth and hopefully I've given you some additional ammo. TC
