1st 3 quarters of game i thought jags have a chance to win against the pats. 4th quarter they couldnt beat the dolphins. they must play a perfect complete game and maybe they beat the pats. not a ne fan or jax fan but could be a game for the ages.
The funny thing is, if jax had played a perfect game in Pitt (& kicked on to win, say, 35-17 from 28-10 up, then people wouldnt be writing them off so quick against the pats as they are now because of that 4th quarter. Yet the very irony is if they had - as a first time playoff team with their current crop of core players - played that perfect game in pitt, then their chances of beating the pats wouldve been even worse than they are now, because *new* playoff teams simply cant be expected to play 2 straight perfect games on the road (and they will have to be near perfect to beat the Pats).
That 4th quarter vs Pitt actually means they have a better chance of beating the Pats than had they been perfect. Being exposed to the fire of a Pitt comeback and staring down defeat after being up 18 pts does far more for them psychologically than had that game's 4th quarter been a cakewalk to victory. Yet people in this thread are writing them off precisely because they didnt get that cakewalk.
