Without question in game 2 Pitt received 3 gifts in that game. They should of let it play out on the field. That reversal was the worst I've ever seen. Do you think if that game was in Pittsburgh and they were never behind for 59:15 that Baltimore could get a reversal on that play. Baltimore won every game the rest of the way out, Pitt lost to Tennessee, got a bye and had it easy after that, a team that was once 4-8, then the Ravens after playing 18 weeks in a row. I guess I have to say Pitts better but by the slightest of amounts. Baltimore did beat Tennesse when the cards where on the table, Pitt couldn't.

pitt beat these guys 3 times,and you're saying they "might" be "slightly" better than the ravens. you sir must not watch football outside of arizona. while i'll be on zona this superbowl, i disagree with everything you say. pittsburgh doesn't come to blow teams out, so if thats why you think they're hardly better, well that explains it. boy this superbowl brings out ignorance

If your Looking for a Reason to justify your Cardinals Super Bowl Pick then Talk about the Cardinals Offense or how the Defense has forced 11 Turnovers in the Playoffs....
 
Talking about how the Steelers Defense is average makes you look really Foolish...

Again maybe you don't understand Pitt is in by far the worst offensive division in football...Bengals, Browns...Ravens...The Numbers are inflated...The Cards will Roll come Sunday...When they do then you come on the board and admit I was right....

How is Arizonas divison any better? A combined 13 wins. 6 of the Cards wins came from them, Seattle, San Fran and St. Louis. Your argument is ridiculous and you are making yourself look like a fool. I hope you have done more research than that.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  Did you see the
play when Baltimore was on about Pittsburg's 20 yard line and
Flacco threw that pass to his wide out and Ike Taylor was so
lost all he could do was run with his back to the ball and stick
his hands up.  He got called for interference. 

What is he going to do against Fitzgerald the best wide receiver
in football? Scary thought.

If I was Warner I would be throwing to Fitzgerald every play.
The guy is so good, you just have to throw in his general direction
and the guy is going to come up the ball.

In other words the Cardinals strongest player is matched up with
the Steelers weakest player.  I don't know how it is going to play
out.

One question. If the Steelers are soooooo great and arguably the best defense of all time (which I think is ridiciulous) and the Cards are such an embarassment and the worst Super bowl team every, then why is the line only 7. I mean if I didn't know better and just read what the Steeler Homers had to say, I'd think the line was 17 or 20. Your team is supposed to be so great, and your giving the lowly Cardinals 7 pts., with the lowest ML I've ever seen on a 7pt dog. Wow, tells me the Steelers are not that good.

Here is what might happen in that situation.  If he gets beat early
Fitzgerald might make the guy dizzy.  I mean how would you
guard him? If you play off of him, he takes the short passes.  Now,
you come up and he blows right by you.  The more I think about it,
I have to give the Cards a great shot a winning.

I stand by my statement, Vegas doesn't think the Steelers are that good or the line would be higher. Secondly, 95% of the people on this site don't win at sports betting. The line is made to get equal action on both sides. Just so you know I know what goes into making a line.

Steelcash, I felt your blood pressure rising a little bit in your posts. Listen, you more than validated Pitt's defense, not that that should have even been necessary. Remember, betting football has brought many a good handicapper to his knees at some point in time, tho' I agree with you, they still have to play the game. 
 
Robb, how you even attempt to make a case that the AFC north was worse than the NFC west is really a joke, isn't it? You are just kidding around aren't you? If  you want to voice your opinion about something, hey, it's a free country, but I would say to you, do your research first, show me(and everyone else) something so people will take you seriously.   No one said the Steelers D was the Best Ever...(The Stats do put them in an elite Class)

Some Tool started this thread saying that the Steelers D was average and was only good bc they played in the AFC North (which he thought was a conference)... 

I am not saying the Steelers win for sure or that it's a Blowout...

Calling the Steelers D anything other than the Best D in the NFL is a mistake ...

Steelers D was consistently very good this year, but I wouldn't put them in the great category.  While they only allowed 1 team to score more than 30, the also only held 4 teams below 10 points, with 1 shutout against a Cleveland team playing their 4th string QB.
 
Compare that to the 2000 Ravens, who pitched four shutouts and held 12 teams to single digits. 
 
The 1976 Steelers had five shutouts and held 8 teams below 10.
 
The 1985 Bears had four shutouts and 9 teams below 10.
 
The 2002 Bucs had two shutouts and 8 teams below 10.
 
Heck, the 2004 Patriots held 6 teams below ten, and the 2003 Patriots had 3 shutouts and held 5 teams below ten, and nobody considers them great defenses.
 
So yes, the Steelers have a very good, consistent defense, but also an overrated one, as it's not an all-time great defense.

1976 Steelers - 3.8 yards per play
2000 Baltimore Ravens - 4.3 yards per play
1985 Bears - 4.4 yards per play
1981 Eagles- 4.1 yards per play
 
2008 Steelers - 3.9 yards per play
 
 
That looks to me that the most important defensive statistic shows this Steeler defense ranks among the ALL TIME BEST DEFENSES EVER......and they play in an offensive era. Pre-2002 didn't even know what "illegal contact" and the tick tack "roughing the passer" was.
