When you claim it is "fixed" or "scripted" all you are ever doing is appealing to one mystery with an EVEN BIGGER MYSTERY.
You asked a question. How is this possible? you asked. The answer, at best, for anyone, should be "I don't know."
If your answer is "the game must be fixed" then you now have a bigger mystery on your hands. How is it fixed, when is is fixed, who decides who it is fixed towards, when is this decision made, how many players are aware of it, how many coaches are aware of it, how is the information passed on, how can all of it be kept a secret for so long, etc., etc., etc.
And if your answer to all of those questions is, "I don't know," well... that should have been your answer one question earlier.

If you don't know, then, "I don't know" is your best answer. Saying it is fixed doesn't get you anywhere. When you say, fixed, you now have many other additional questions to answer. You are appealing to one mystery with an even bigger mystery.
