To those of you saying it was a dirty play, you are dead wrong. If you want to see a real dirty play I'll show you what Warren Sapp did to Clifton of the Packers. Now thats a dirty play.
Was Rivers gonna make the tackle? Probably not.
Should Ward have given him a chance? Definitely not.
If there was a chance [which there was] that Rivers would of made the tackle then I applaud Hines for that very nice block. This is not flag football, this is tackle football. If your teammate might get tackled, and you can prevent that, you do that and then catch praise from your coach. Thats the very reason Hines is often described as a football player and not a receiver, and that is not a bad thing. Wish the 'Boys had some players like Hines, maybe we'd win a fuckin' playoff game
