Hey Guys...Tim Tebow Still Sucks

Here's what Tebow does well, very well, he protects the football.

The best in NFL history with at least 1500 touches at protecting the football with fewer int's and fumbles is Rodgers, 2.85 percent of touches results in a TO.

Tebow -- 2.63, the best ever at this point in his career, that is nothing to sneeze about there, when teams win the TO battle they win the game at a high rate, even bad teams win, they just win the TO battle less often.

Another thing Tebow does well, score TD'S, his 6 percent TD rate per att pass or rush is better than Rodgers, Brady, Brees, P. Manning.

So let's not say Tebow sucks just yet, yes he's had some poor quality competion but he is young to and can improve, we need to see more before we can make any judgements about him.

The Giants 4th worst passing defense didn't stop Brady. He threw for 342 yards in that game and the only fault that was on Brady was that he scored with too much time on the clock.

Eli came back down against the WORST passing defense and won with less than a minute on the clock.

So 2 solid quarterbacks did their job while 2 horrible secondaries lived up to their numbers.

 And how can Brady mean more to the Pats than Tebow means to the Broncos?  The Broncos were 1-4 when he took over and since they are 7-5.   Apparently he means quite a bit. 

 p.s. When the Pats did lose Brady they were a lot better off than the Colts are without Peyton.  they did pretty good without Brady actually.  Not taking anything away from Brady at all.  he is arguably the best thing goin....just sayin.  I bet if Brady was out and Mallet came in the Pats wouldn't be terrible.

Of course not. But whose to say he was true with that initial opinion? He just came out of the blue and said he flipped sides when it was convenient and started trash talking the guy who everyone else is trash talking. That's like guy moving from New York to Oklahoma and, after the Thunder make the playoffs, he comes out of the blue and says "Oh, I'm a Thunder fan. They've really opened my eyes"...just to fit in.

And of course he'll be with Denver next season. He's a cash cow right now and they aren't going to get Andrew Luck so he'll be there.

Tim Tebow!!!  I never thought to press and roll it.  And I thought I had been killing it.  I coulda made a small fortune. 

Feels like I've read the same comments 800 times when i look at this thread.

And THAT is my point. If Tebow is as great as everyone is making him out to be...than he's NOT a part of the majoriy. He's a part of the few great ones. If he's a great...than losing to another great will make him average.

I'm not going by my own philosophy here. I'm saying that if everyone is going to praise Tebow like a God...than he needs to compete with top teams.

Facing top teams DOES prove something if everyone is hyping him up like he's turned the Broncos INTO a top team. If you're going to worship the guy like he's a great...than you have to expect him to COMPETE with other greats.

So true. But out of 32 pages...I don't remember who I've told what to and I find myself repeating myself just because.

And I'm going by people calling him great...not good. His 6-1 record has people saying how great he is. And if you call someone great...you can't make exceptions when he faces "other great competition".

For the record the Denver defense is not very good.  They're playing lights out and over their head for and because of Tebow.  If you can't see this, then you're blind.

Not everything I say is meant for everyone. But a majority. You didn't say he was great. You didn't attack me. But out of 32 pages in this thread...it's happened a ton of times.

It seemed to me that he was just saying how he was a doubter but now that he was proven wrong he was coming around.  However at this point I don’t even remember what his screen name is so whatever.

Tebow’s contract expires in 3 seasons so I’m not sure what leads you to be so certain he is going to still be there in half a decade.

 

Simple. If the Broncos win 3 Championships in the next 5 years...that means Tebow was there for at least one of them. And if Tebow wins a Championship...he'll be there for the next half a decade.

But I'm not allowed to talk about "IF's" anymore.

I said “Tebow could win 3 super bowls in the next 5 seasons…” and then you “corrected” my “mistake” by replacing “Tebow” with “Denver.”

Just because Tebow won 3 super bowls over the next 5 seasons doesn’t necessarily mean all 3 were with Denver.

Week 7

Tebow performance: After going 4-for-14 for 40 yards to put the Broncos behind 15-0 with 5:23 to play, Tebow leads Denver to an 18-15 overtime victory at Miami.

Haterus Tebowis comments: "Big deal. He beat the Dolphins. They stink. And if Tebow wasn't so terrible, Denver never would have been trailing in the first place."

Tebow performance: The Broncos lose 45-10 at home to the Lions, as Tebow throws 39 passes, completing just 18.

Haterus Tebowis comments: "Ha! See? We told you! This guy is nothing but a fullback. And he doesn't even throw well for a fullback."

Week 9

Tebow performance: Running an offense designed more for his unique abilities, Tebow throws for two touchdowns and runs for 113 yards as the Broncos score 31 second-half points to beat Oakland 38-24.

Haterus Tebowis comments: "Oooh! Now he has wins against the Dolphins and Raiders. Fancy! And it's not like he had anything to do with the win anyway. Willis McGahee ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns. This winning is not going to last."
