Friend of mine played in the NFL for 10 years ...O-Line ....said Exactly this .....Pittsburgh secondary was blowing coverage all day because they HAD to respect Tebow running...the passing game was opened up from his ability to run....simple as that...has nothing to do with the players it was the defensive scheme...which was brought about from the FEAR of the QB running the ball

LOL.........I love the Tebow haters getting it put right back at them.  Did Doug Flutie suck??????  He had lot's of great games and I still think he could have been even better if given more respect.  Tebow is just like Flutie.  They look a little different, play a little different, but they will win/outperform at a higher percentage than so many other qb's that will play at same time as them.  It just isn't easy and pretty all the time.  I got Tebow on both my keeper fantasy leagues and all I can say is "this year most improved, by 2014 Tebow will be in running for NFL, MVP!

I don’t think anyone here said everyone on the Denver offense sucks, but Tebow.

I think McGahee is a good RB (would have thought he was even better if he didn’t fumble twice yesterday including one that should have cost Denver the game), but that doesn’t cancel out having one of the worst receiving corps in the NFL.

Although I have to give you credit for that response.  It was much better than your “yeah well…..you know….that’s just like uh….your opinion…man” response you made in post #2527.

That was obvious! I have never in my life seen so many blow assignments by the steelers! However, have to give tebow his due here. He hit receivers half the time in stride. It wouldn't happen again under a different plan but you can't blame tebow for pitt being so bad. Tebow took advantage and props to him for that. He made some nice throws. Huge improvment from the normal ducks all game.

Doesn't it seem like we are seeing the same playbook from John Fox's 2004 Carolina Panthers? You know, run the hell outta the ball and then throw 40-yard bombs to Steve Smith with your inaccurate QB?

Fox is the perfect coach to pair a strong running game with a weak QB. If he could make Delhomme look good, he can make anyone look good. Hey, Delhomme just won, right? (at least, for a number of years he did)

Should be a high scoring game on Sunday.

Flutie was brought up before about 15 pages ago. That argument died quickly. Flutie is nothing like Tebow! Sorry, more like Tebow is nothing like Flutie. Flutie had a canon. He set records of throwing like 50,000 yards up here in Canada with a bigger ball while winning championships. Guys was smart and played way undersized. If he could find you or see you he got you the ball on a direct line. The only relation tebow has with flutie is the little talent arugment. Dies quickly after that.

Dies quickly after that.

blown assignments BECAUSE they were completely confused....they were out of position all day long....because they had to respect the run

What I don't get is Pitt is already a decent run stopping team. Why sell out completely on that? At least drop 1-2 a majority of the time. Playing 1-1 was brutal. No one can play that way unless you have to shut down corners and even then they can be beat here and there.

This is THE N.F.L. ...it is just a weekly chess match....different coaches have different ways and sometimes it is just getting the right players with the correct coaches/schemes.You see some guys blossom and some guys flounder under certain systems ...them a new coach bring a new approach and for some reason it works. It is just an ever evolving situation in football.hell you could go on for months about 4-3 vs 3-4 ...it boils down to talent but also having the CORRECT pieces from top to bottom to match your system....you see a lot of GREAT position coaches go to HEAD coach and fail....then back to position coach and do well again...defenses catch up to offenses and offenses eventually catch up to defenses....when people realize there are MANY MANY MANY ways to go about it ...and it is not always right or wrong...suck dont suck....sometimes it boils down to some coaches trying to put the square peg in the round hole....

Tim Tebow got a $250,000 bonus for that playoff win.  Good for him.  There’s no one in the NFL I’d rather see make some extra money than Tebow.

I totally agree. Why sell out? Why is Ike Taylor playing man-to-man with little-to-no safety help?

I think I know the answer - Pitt was overconfident in their secondary's ability to defend. Denver does deserve props for taking one of the tallest receivers in the draft. If they had kept Brandon Lloyd, they wouldn't even need Eric Decker.

My Arizona Cardinals (who are attempting to install a Pittsburgh-style defense) blew leads against the NY Giants and the Baltimore Ravens by continually blitzing on 4th quarter drives, leaving their secondary in man-to-man coverage. Maybe it's just the Pittsburgh mentality, who knows? Those two games probably cost the Cardinals a playoff spot. (Two more wins = 10-6 team).

Some no name jerkoff on ESPN said “congratulations for BARELY beating Pittsburgh.”  As if it’s not enough to win a playoff game SU as an 8 point dog, but you have to blow out the heavy favorite as well.

Actually, StraightShooter, you'll come to find that Tim Tebow has two good, young receivers in Eric Decker and D-Train Thomas. Two guys that will only get better, just like Tebow..It's a misconception that he has nothing to work with..

I would take Denvers top 3 recievers over any of theses teams top 3.
Wash, Chicago, Minn, Tampa Bay, St louis, Clev, Jags, Tenn and Sea. I would say the Jags are the worst but that also has alot to do with Gabbart.

    Tim Tebow still sucks.

Yep...  And this is just the luckiest most bullshit season for anybody i've ever seen in my entire life.  But that shit ends in Foxboro.  And if anybody wants to bet me money, PM.  Patriots gonna destroy this shitty team, and this shitty QB.

100% money back guarantee.  This Tebow trash ass Quarterback, won't be in the the playoffs next year no way no how.  And Denver will be crying when after next year when they find out last year was a "Miracle."

The shit is funny to watch though.

Thomas has looked much better starting with the Minnesota game. Decker, however is, IMO, the worst #1 receiver in the NFL. And there is a difference between saying Tebow has arguably one of the worst receiving corps in the NFL and saying he has nothing to work with.

Every NFL QB has something to work with.

Oh look, another butt hurt Tebow hater.  Yeah I’m sure you’re having a ball watching a kid make you look like a complete dumbass.

316 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, 3 TDs, and no turnovers against a defense that ranks #1 in points allowed, #1 in total defense, and #1 in passing yards allowed.

Highest quarterback rating in NFL postseason history since they started tracking that stat.

Yup, Tim Tebow sure does suck.

Sorry about the Falcons.  I guess two points just isn't enough to win an NFL playoff game.

Because I’m going by who I think the better overall player is (although it’d probably be better to say who the worse player is).  Not by who put up the better fantasy points.

Also Decker’s fantasy owners reaped the benefits of Denver not having an even average TE.
