With Kalshi and Polymarket prediction markets offering bets on wars and oil prices and Russia invading Europe and USA hitting Iran - I find it interesting that few of the market makers have approached me hoping I will join in and we will create some extraordinary opportunity for fellow bettors and also make some profits on the way. Well, heard it before, done it almost all and made money and spent money as fast as I made it in the past. But, this time - after Kawhi and the Clips affair when that Philippino journalist Torres put all the corruption out in the open, suddenly -this season of American Professional Sports seems more predictable and less Vegas interfered than before. Look at the week 1 of NFL and also TNF. I don't remember any of the weeks in NFL with the clear favourites delivering and covering. Looks like the refs had been warned not to call stupid and obviously biased calls and the teams too with little exception - played to their best abilities.
While the first time slot favorites covered all but the Lions (Jags -8.5 34-19, Bengals -3.5 33-27, Ravens -3.5 41-23, Steelers -6.5 20-13, Bills -1 36-31, Bears -3 59-37 and the Jets who became a Pick after +1.5 23-10) Second time slot favorites as well as the SNF favorite (Dallas) - did not cover.
No, I do not claim that I discovered America. Nor do I think that this will hold forever or even for one week, but it clearly shows that the teams that we all knew should win and cover - did cover, and the favorites we wouldn't support - did not cover indeed.
That sets me up for week two games and I will post the picks after going 1-0 with the Bills obvious cover against the dismal Lions (was also my survivor pick and the kings of cover pick - the contests I wilk take seriously this season

The Pats were the best pick. Easiest. I knew the Packers line was too good to be true. Let us see if the Seahawks will deliver - not only winning but covering.
Overall - the title of the thrrad correspondong with the similarly named thread a decafe plus ago - was funny

Ok. The Pats and Seadogs covered with flying colour while the Pack sold us short.
Week 3 is around the corner with the Pack opening it hosting inept Falcons with -6 line which at this stage considering the way the Falcons played - to be very suspicios.
The Seadogs at the Skins are a TD favourite while the Pats are +3 at the Jags... I will analyse this week getting some help from Claude.
