    LOL....just messing around a little.

I do hate the Bears though, so on your side.  I do remember that Fog Bowl distinctly though, what a crazy game.

Don't bust my stones man, when I listen to John Lee Hooked, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Lightnen Hopkins, and Hound Dog Taylor, can't help not thinking about Chicago and the Delta Blues from Mississippi, heh

In ancient Greek theater when a character suffered from this mindset, it was written that he suffered from 'hubris'.

To the Greeks, hubris referred to extreme pride, especially pride and ambition so great that they offend the gods and lead to one's downfall. Hubris was a character flaw often seen in the heroes of classical Greek tragedy, including Oedipus and Achilles. The familiar old saying "Pride goeth before a fall" is basically talking about hubris.

The thread started out simple until fallopian tuuuubbbbbey came along and sh@t everywhere. The Bears aren’t perfect but I think they beat Philly. Go back and read the nonsense by the schmuck above and it tells you everything you need to know. All we’ve heard is “experience” and Foles. Cool. I ain’t buying that for a dollar. Sorry. If you get bored, go back and research fallopian tuuuuubey with his sixers and Eagles. You want to talk about homer and biased views. Go ahead. Enjoy the game Sunday

I can say this with absolute certainty. The entire Bears team and Chicagoans all have a lot of respect for the Eagles team. All week I have not hear anyone talk about Bears will simply crush the Eagles, at least locally where I am and I live down town Chicago.  All the news outlets, players/coach interviews all have consistent messages that Bears needs to stay focused to take on the defending champs. Matt Naggy is working hard to keep the players calm and collected. To be honest, I think people here are just excited that we are back in the playoffs and playing the defending champs is just an icing on the cake. I absolutely hate the narrative that Bears should have lost to Vikings so that Bears can play Vikings again. What!? Why!? But imagine that for a second, all you Eagles fans wouldn't even have the opportunity to be here arguing. All i can say is this, Matt Naggy has the back bone to play all his players in a game where he knew wouldn't make any difference to seeding because Rams was crushing SF at that point. This is what this team and leadership is all about.

All year we know the Bears defense got it done and this Sunday will be no different. I thought for sure when Rams came in here, we were going to loose by 2 scores but our D got it done. It was a low scoring game but we still beat them by 9. I just think similar situation will happen on Sunday when Eagles comes here. But i am not going to continue arguing with others here and convey my opinions. Most people already made up their minds and truthfully people who are reading these posts are looking for insights and edge on a betting side. Most of these arguments don't really make much of a difference. My prediction is still that Bears win by double digits due to turn over/take aways. We can certainly agree to disagree. But one thing for sure, its going to be a great game to close out the weekend. Good luck to all.

Wow, what a shitshow Achilles - how come this always happens in your threads?

I grew up in Packerland and carried it with me forever.  I'd rather go 2-14 and have the 2 be the Bears than 14-2 and have the 2 be the Bears.

That said, this Bears secondary is absolutely lights out.  Philly is going to have to figure out a way to run it at least a little, because Nicky can't sling it all game against this secondary - they'll eat him up alive.  Combined with Mack & Co. coming on the rush, this game could get very ugly. Nagy is smart and will have a very conservative offense - the Bears D may very well outscore Philly.

Philly luck will end in Chicago. Period. The Philly was very lucky that they won 2 garbage games. They beat the Rams who don't know how to play defense and they also beat the garbage Washington. Why don't you ask why the Bears played hard to beat Minny to face Philly in the playoff? Chargers will win in Baltimore. Jackson luck will end this weekend. Bye bye kids.

    I see.....

So the Rams were good enough to go 7-1 at home with wins over the Chargers, Vikings, Packers, Seahawks, and,Chiefs, but the Eagles were the only team to beat them there, therefore, the Rams are garbage.

    Got it.

Here's another reason why I think the game will come down to the wire on Sunday.  I looked at how both teams have played down the stretch heading into the playoffs.  Both teams were playing meaningful games, the Eagles to make the playoffs, the Bears to win the division and fighting for a 1st round bye:

    Bears

    5-1 - 21.1 ppg - 14.6 allowed

    Eagles

    5-1 - 27.0 ppg - 19.5 allowed

    Both teams are playing well

Was also listening to Ian Rappaport or whoever it was on the NFL Network today, analyzing and breaking down this game.  The one thing he mentioned that stood out was, the Bears are giving up a little over 25 ppg against QB's this season in games where the QB gets rid of the ball in 2.5 seconds or less, negating Chicago's good pass rush.  This season, Nick Foles leads the league in that category, just ahead of Tom Brady.

Just food for thought on why I think this game comes down to the wire and ends up being a 20-17, 24-21 type game that can go either way.

I´m on Phily and will be even more so, should Eddie Jackson be out.

    1. Offensively, no team has a better set of targets than Phily. Jeffery, Agholor and Tate vs the Bears´ achilles heel which is defending WR. You have some dynamic RBs with great hands. And let´s add a Pro Bowl TE to that equation. Hopefully Eddie Jackson is out.

    2. The Eagles´ defensive struggles also revolve around WRs. However Chicago´s receiving corpse is average at best. So they won´t be able to exploit that match up as much as almost all elite WRs that Philadelphia has faced.

    3. Pederson vs Nagy. Not only the experience granted by last year. But Nagy is stubborn. This is a game for Tarik Cohen and hopefully we get an overdose of Howard.

    4. Trubisky vs Foles. Trubisky had 4 games with multiple interceptions. Seattle, New England, Minnesota and LA Rams. ALL AT HOME. Big games at home, he has shown a tendency to flop. Foles on the contrary mans up with pressure as shown the last 2 seasons. 2% of Foles´ passes this season have been intercepted vs 4% of Trubisky´s

    5. Motivation. I know it is up for both. But Philly was dead three weeks ago, and they resurrected. Again at the main event through the doggy door... underdog set up just as last year. Bring it!

    6. Experience. Turnovers, penalties.

And the big key of the game is Eddie Jackson. With the Bears´ shitty cornerbacks and without their best weapon to defend Ertz, the Eagles would be a no-brainer. I don´t care how many Khalil Macks you have, Foles would be able to find the right match up and get rid of the ball quickly.

“The bears shitty cornerbacks”? My gosh, the sh@t spewed in here is overflowing. Then we are denouncing Khali Mack too? Please leave. It’s clear you’ve watched no football this year. Thanks for stopping by though

Wow, I knew you were a douchebag, but now I can see you are also retarded. No worries, I won´t ever give you feedback on any other thread. If you think you are that good, way to go. Hopefully you bet large and shift the line to my favor.

Bears secondary: 5th most catches allowed to WRs in the league. Super elite, you are right!

And I will give you the following stats just to prove my point and enlighten you.

    Packers: Cobb 142, Adams 88, Allison 69.

    Baldwinless Seahawks: Locket 60 yds.

    Cardinals: Christian Kirk 90 yds.

Bucs: Desean Jackson 112, Mike Evans 59

Miami: Albert Wilson 155, Amendola 59

Patriots: Josh Gordon 100, Chris Hogan 63

Detroit: Golladay: 78, Marvin Jones 55

    Vikings: Diggs 126, Thielen 66

    Detroit: Golladay: 90

    Green Bay: Adams: 120

49ers: Kittle 73, Borune 73. (Shows the importance of Eddie Jackson to cover the TE).

Yeah, they did great their last week vs the Vikings, and yes they did quite well agains OBJ (with Eli Manning though). But that does not compensate their shitty performances.

You may have a thousand good reasons to pick the Bears but an Elite group of Cornerbacks is not one of them.

And Khalil Mack is an animal. But you could have 3 oKMs and if the QB gets rid of the ball in less than 3 seconds it wont matter. Also, respect Jason Peters
