a vigorous case of a priori reasoning. they gave up 450 yds twice to an offense that is similar to seattle's--but not as good. carolina is a division team, by the way, so teams do try to show up. the falcons should have lost both but for a late newton fumble in game 1 (non covering) and got smoked the second game.

Terrible matchup for Atlanta in almost every respect. Big physical
corners, good pass rush, I'm predicting 3 picks for Ryan.
Last week the field conditions at Fedex Field were an absolute joke, it was painted dirt, a sandbox. I expect the Seahawks to be flying in an indoor environment. Remember that 50-17 blood bath against the Bills in Toronto (that was on indoor turf). Their defense will be swarming and the Wilson/Lynch play action will be going unlike anything the Falcons have seen this year!

I like to go back to the SanFran/SEA game in which Kapernik could hardly hear and had to struggle to call plays in the huddle. I see that same scenario with QB Wilson in the hostile environment of Geo Dome. Plus, last weeks was more of a WASH loss than a SEA win due to RG's bum knee. ATL is constantly reminded of last years home loss to eventual SB champ Giants. They'll be ready Sunday.
