That game was an outlier played on the road in a torrential downpour when the team was trying to find their identity early on and pre Brock mania. What are the 49ers going to do with Trey Lance next year? Will they sit Purdy?

Eagles lost to the Commanders and the Saints….the Chiefs lost to the Colts, the Bengals lost by 19 to the Browns.
If you really cap games this way, it’s no surprise you’re losing.

What was the longest winning streak en route to winning a super bowl? This is a nice feat for sure. I'm sure only a very select few teams have 12 straight wins at this juncture
Of course 72 dolphins. 14-0 regular season, 2-0 playoffs. 16-0 prior to winning Super Bowl.

I'm not capping anything. And I don't cap anything in this shit entertainment called the NFL.
I'm putting a response into this (like YOU) fanboy's thread. I don't really care what other teams have done.

@Digitalkarma They flashed it on ESPN last night: 2007 Pats 18 straight lost in SB 2004 Steelers 15 straight lost in conference championship 72 Dolphins 15 and won SB 2003 Pats 13 and won SB 2002 Niners 12 and?
Thanks for this bb. Just looking for teams that strung up so many wins prior to playing the Super Bowl and winning it all. Don't think any of Niners championship run have gone for more than 12 straight wins, maybe 10 during the Montana years. 2022 Niners are in uncharted territory for their franchise.
2003 Patriots are another you've mentioned they won 14 straight before capturing Lombardi. Also throw in the 76 Raiders they won 12 straight before the Super Bowl. If Niners win it will be 13 straight. I can only find 3 teams so far with 12+ wins and winning the Lombardi, Niners could be the 4th team..

Niners made Dallas look bad…….give credit where credit is due……….Purdy passed the test many times………not an issue……..but NFC championship should be good for sure……….spreadmakers don’t make many mistakes in these type of games………line is sharp!

The real stat is Purdy joins the group of Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez as the only rookie QBs to win multiple playoff games ..
Win or lose Sunday the Niners organization deserves credit for their 6th NFC Championship game in the last 12 seasons.. 4 different QBs with Alex Smith,Kap,Jimmy G and now Purdy

Whats the point here? Are you suggesting the 49ers aren’t a good team because they lost to the Bears in week 1?

It's called "recency bias"....look it up
You and the OP seemed to be loaded with it.
Just thought I'd post about the whole season just played. Rain or no fn rain.

I’m simply asking you a question because you hammering a week 1 game seems silly. You can dissect every teams schedule like I posted above. The Cowboys lost 19-3 week 1 to the Bucs and then got destroyed by them in the playoffs. You confusing to pontificate on the week 1 matchup between the 49ers and Bears is quite silly.

The above post got butchered. Point remains, if you are betting the Eagles this week because the 49ers lost to the Bears in week 1, you should find another hobby.

Big test for Purdy next week first road playoff game. 2-0 on the road so far last one was a hairy one against the bumbling Raiders maybe could knock some of the nerves down a bit going against the rowdy Philly crowd.

@Digitalkarma Yeah It should be a good game but i think it will be tough for the Niners to win in Philly...Eagles vs Bengals Superbowl I think..
It will be tough if they had to play the Philly fans. They’d probably get destroyed. Those dudes are no joke. Lucky for us the fans have to stay in their seats and Niners will be playing a bunch of millionaire ball players like themselves, though without the heart ache of losing the NFC championship last year. That’s the Niners edge, and it is an important one.

Purdy will be fine with the noise at PHI, his first road game in the bigs he went up to SEA and that place is known as the 12th man for a reason. The noise
I get Seattle is loud, but comparing Philly to Seattle is a stretch

Niners don’t give a crap about their win streak. Everything will be for naught if they don’t beat the Eagles on Sunday. Their entire season was to get them to this point again, where they were last year, when Debo was crying inconsolably after the game. Good luck Eagles backers, you’ll need it! "We've been here before," Shanahan said. "It's very hard to get here. We're not really reflecting on anything yet. We've got a big game this week, and that's not our ultimate goal, either. So, in order to do that, we've got to make sure we take care of business."
Understood no doubt about it. My post is to point out how impressive and rare a feat that is, to not lose a single game in 3 full months. It's not normal in the modern NFL. They're a special team and have a shot next week but still feel Philly wins the game sadly.
Struggled mightily to beat Dak yesterday. Hurts is light years better at the QB position. Add in 8 days rest for Philly after basically not even being challenged by the garbage giants. Niner's were in a physical bloodbath yesterday. Will fly coast to coast to play the Eagles. It's a monumental challenge.

Is it an edge? How many times has niners gone to NFC Championship? More than most team. Is it more likely in their head they are curse in this round? At the very least the thought is there!
