confused  What's the status on Joe Burrow for tonight's home game?

Unless he's expected to be at least 90+% healthy/effective I would favor a dog play on RAMS.

In a game decided by just 5 pts,  the LUCKY Steelers clearly benefitted from +3 net turnovers .... and the one that didn't make the stat sheet which we all saw early in the game, when Raiders DB Marcus Peters cleverly read and jumped a passing lane in the flat for what was a guaranteed pick 6 right in his hands with NOBODY near him ..... and he dropped it.surprised

Lucky.....VERY LUCKY Steelers escaped disaster and have now won 2 consecutive thanks to big breaks tipping in their favor.

    Sept.25, MNF

I have the 0 - 2 Bengals rated roughly the same level as the 2 - 1 Seahawks

The RAMS went on the road into Seattle and thoroughly routed the Seahawks both on the scoreboard and in the stats. BIGLY!!
Then last week, the very powerful 3 - 0 NINERS edged the Rams.

    Meanwhile,

QB Joe Burrow & the BENGALS were thoroughly routed in week 1 by the BROWNS. In that shellacking, Burrow & co managed only 6 first downs, a pathetic 2.6 ypp, and lost by 21 pts --  DESPITE gaining +2 net turnovers!

And last week QB Joe Burrow & the BENGALS were edged and outplayed at home by the RAVENS.

Despite the pre-season hype on the Bengals as a possible SB contender, tonight I have them rated lower than the RAMS.....and Bengals may be WITHOUT QB Joe Burrow....or if he does play, it will be on a very sore calf.
Replacing Burrow would be undrafted Jake Browning.....although he looked decent in preseason and might be a better option than Burrow.

RAMS key injury concern is top WR Nacua, with ailing obliques, who is listed as Q, but likely to suit up at least. How effective he would be after a hit is the question.

I am leaning RAMS but still debating on which alt-line cushion I am willing to buy

    Comments are always welcome.

I'm surprised the line is not moving off of 3.   Or maybe there is something I don't know... WOuld Bengals still be 3 pt home fave if BROWNING is the starter?

First big lucky break goes to BUCS, as Eagles elect NOT to take  3 free points...

    Eagles lead 3 - zip

Ok so after 2 completed drives each, EAGLES into the rz twice, with 4 first downs to 2,

    91 yards to  37

    6.5 ypp  to 3.3

*Bucs have one UNearned lucky break saving 3 pts against them.

Despite the pre-season hype on the Bengals as a possible SB contender, tonight I have them rated lower than the RAMS.....and Bengals may be WITHOUT QB Joe Burrow....or if he does play, it will be on a very sore calf.Replacing Burrow would be undrafted Jake Browning.....although he looked decent in preseason and might be a better option than Burrow. RAMS key injury concern is top WR Nacua, with ailing obliques, who is listed as Q, but likely to suit up at least. How effective he would be after a hit is the question. I am leaning RAMS but still debating on which alt-line cushion I am willing to buy Comments are always welcome.

Now EAGLES gain a fortunate break with an INT on BUCS 37.....it remains to be seen if it costs pts....

But then, BUCS gain another break gaining an INT at their own 20 to prevent more points.

BREAKS favor BUCS 2 - 1 thus far......but they are down 3 - 10 as we go to the HT

    an_light Eagles lead 13 - 3 @HT

Ok so after 6 completed drives each:

EAGLES into the rz 4 times, Bucs just once

    12 first downs   to 6

    228 yards  to just 87

    6.5 ypp   to just 3.0

Both teams are recipients of 2 lucky breaks. EAGLES scored 3 on the last one but that makes up for the first one, and the game score is right where it should be with the breaks EVEN

    LA RAMS @Bengals 3 - 3 with 12:55 left in half

Bengals lead in stats but began with the ball and have had 3 drives compared to only 2 for Rams.....

    No turnovers yet.

BUCS gain a well EARNED  INT!

It's still a break though because EAGLES were driving into scoring position AGAIN.

However,  they are then sacked in the EZ handing the Eagles 2 free points on a great defensive play (not lucky!!)

     22 - 3

Now Hurts has them driving yet again late in 3Q! an_2drinks

    BUMMER for Bengals......

They just scored on a deep route.....BUT....lucky break for RAMS as there was a penalty to wipe it out from an UNforced PI on a receiver....then they have to punt and the score remains 6 - 3 RAMS but Bengals have one extra possession

    Rams @ BEngals tied 6 - 6 at halftime

One turnover going to RAMS and a lucky break with an UNforced PI error that saved the a TD!

Ok so after Rams having one less drive than Bengals,

RAMS 5.6 ypp  to just 3.8 for Bengals

Total yardage very close but Bengals have the extra drive.

Basically the score DOES reflect the strength of the team's performance, but noting the RAMS have the big lucky break!

Basically the score DOES reflect the strength of the team's performance, but noting the RAMS have the big lucky break!

And the BENGALS just gained the TD saving break back on a fortuitous  TO call when the RAMS receiver was left wide open in the EZ....

    Breaks EVEN.

Rams score another fieldgoal to lead 9 - 6  early in 3Q

    With 7 completed drives each

    RAMS 183 yards to 150

RAMS 5.9 ypp  to just 3.8 for Joe Burrow

WOW!  Seconds after I write that, RAMS toss deep to Bengals 30 for first down!

    BUT...

HUGE LUCKY BREAK for Bengals, gaining a LUCKY  unearned INT off a tipped ball...preventing a likely score.
