And another big lucky break for Bengals....as 0 - 6 srd down conversions by RAMS....and they convert!! BUT lucky for the Bengals,  as that gain is wiped out by an UNforced error for facemask grab by OL

RAMS just got back one of those 2 lucky breaks favoring Bengals....with a well-earned INT at their own 20 to snuff out a drive.

Not as   "LUCKY"  as a tipped-ball INT, but still good fortune to prevent a score.....BUT....can the RAMS do anything about it??

IMO, they are having a "one-off"  performance.... not looking sharp offensively AT ALL!

DEFINITELY goes down as a "one-off" performance by the RAMS......they are way better than this, though taking nothing away from Bengals.....

A fieldgoal here would ice the game for Cincinnati...

new_jaw_drop 0 - 10 on 3rd downs and  0 - 3 in the redzone....THAT's a "one-off" without taking anything away from the Bengals in front of their home crowd...

OK....despite an obvious "one-off" performance by the RAMS  (backup left tackle was a huge issue costing them dearly) the stats were more or less EVEN after each had 12 full possessions....

RAMS were 5.6 ypp   to Bengals only 4.2.....and the net yardage was similar.....

In a 3 pt game, that extra lucky break that went Bengals way appears to be the difference.

Had RAMS performed normally though, even that break to the Bengals would not have been enough for them to overcome the RAMS....

    RAMS +7.5 -240 (alt-line)      *BEST BET

    WINNER!  an_2drinks

Backdoor cover but glad I chose to buy that cushion.

I  *expect*  McVay & his RAMS to play much better next week in Indianapolis.  Extremely rare (maybe less than 5%?) for any team to have a "one-off" on a second consecutive game......Early line has LAR as +1 dogs vs the mediocre Colts

Who looked worse: the hapless Broncos on the road in Miami,

or the hapless Bears on the road in KC?

Bears are getting +3.5 pts Sunday in their home park....

Regardless who loses in Soldier Field this weekend in the battle of the 0 - 3 losers, the game winner will escape being designated the WORST team in pro football.

Leaning toward the Packers tonight although I would prefer confirmation for certainty that WATSON is not only going to play but at least 90% recovered from a hammie. Same for Jones.  THEY ARE DIFFERENCE MAKERS but that *ONLY* applies if they are 100% healthy!

Packers OLine is banged up again......but so is LIONS OLine and actually the LIONS could be the worse off of the two.  Packer front four could have fun tonight against an immobile QB....

    Lions @PACKERS

Both OLines are ailing. If I'm right, the Lions maybe slightly worse.

In any case it appears to me that if either team loses another from the OLine at some point in the first half or early 3Q that could spell doom for that offense....particularly LIONS since Goff is not a scrambler like Jordan Love can be.

Also, I see that Mongomery is active for tonight but I am not so sure he will be 100%.

Packers have the better pass rush imo....

    PACKERS +2.5 -109 (Pinnacle)

I have my fingers crossed that their pass rush will be in fine fiddle tonight and make life miserable for Goff.

As usual I will be tallying the breaks.....some earned, others very LUCKY....

PACKERS gain the first break of the night with an INT in scoring position.  Couldn't advance the ball but 3 - 0 after each team has one possession, albeit Packers were fortunate

PACKERS score FIELDGOAL after getting a break...

LIONS respond with a 75 yard march for a TD.

Long game ahead.  These are just opening salvos...

As yet to be determined is the apparent injury to PACKERS tackle Jon Runyan....As I mentioned earlier, an injury to either OLine could make or break the game result ultimately.......this is pending...... Meanwhile Goff looks sharp!

LIONS drive methodically 55 yds for another TD...... PACKER D not responding to the challenge.

If Runyan is out for PACKER OLine,  this could be a rout for the Leos

LIONS respond with a 75 yard march for a TD. Long game ahead.  These are just opening salvos... Lions up early 7 - 3 and driving....

End of 1Q and looking like a ROUT for LIONS.....no lucky breaks in their favor yet....all earned 14 - 3 lead and driving deep yet again!
