You need to hedge. Guarantee money a sure thing is better then nothing. Some money is better then none, Greed gets people no where.

Did you watch last year when Baltimore played Jacksonville? Houston and Indi on Thanksgiving? "Jets have no way to keep up with Houston's firepower"... etc ... where the underdog had 0 chance of winning?

I got a similar problem i need Chi ML to win the PRO-Picks pool in Ontario Canada the pool usually has about seven to eight hundred thousand in it but this week was all chalk except Buffallo losing so i expect alot of winners so i don't no what i will get paid if i win. If i knew i was going to get 7 grand i would hedge half and i could still win both because i only need Chi to win not cover. Any one out there have a winning ticket already with Chi flipped, or what do you think this week ight pay is the Tennesse win that big of an upset?

Since you have a nice middle opportunity I would hedge a third of the bet. Probably about 2k-2500, That way if bears win you get paid a good sum like hitting a parlay ( tell yourself you had them on money line to make yourself feel better) and to lock in a profit of 2k. The key here is you have a middle on a major key number. That is added value that needs to be taken into equation. Usually I would not hedge but here the math tells you to do it at least to lock in some profits.

Best of luck tonight. I live in Vegas and am alive on a 15 team teaser for $5 (not a big bettor) and it pays $1500 if it wins. My last game is Bears at a pick. I will be rooting for you with the Bears, but since the line is sitting @6 I will hedge and hope for a middle. Best of luck once again!!!

I think im going to bet $2000 on DET +7.5 so either:
A) Bears win by 8 or more I win 7200-2000=$5200 profit
B) Lions win SU or loss by 4 or less I win 0+2000=$2000 profit
C) Bears win by 5 I push and win about 5000+2000=$7200 profit
D) Bears win by 6 or 7 and I win 7200+2000=$9200 Profit
clearly I want D to happen but this way Im at least guaranteeing some money and can still root for my original pick with the Bears with a chance of middling both bets
