My local has dropped wizard series tremendously to +140 from +160 this morning while G1 ML still at +150. I will hope for a wizards loss so I can pound then 2G and series as well but it looks like a wizards win tonight.

Scal, what worries me is the NBA's agenda. I still believe Hawks could have won the last series if they had gotten a few more calls, here and there. Betting on the Wiz in certain spots in this series makes a lot of sense, but the series? I'm not so sure. Again, this has nothing to do with the cap (as Washington is the better team at this point) but only with how the series might be officiated. The Wizards will either have to dominate (which is possible, though unlikely) or hope to steal the series.

Washington is clearly better than Atlanta, but Atlanta was a tough match up for Indiana because of their "bigs." I'm interested to see if Washington's "bigs" will have the same effectiveness as Atlanta's, considering Atlanta's big guys play well away from the basket it caused fits for Indiana defensively,specifically Hibbert. Now against a more prototypical front line, Hibbert might become more effective. We'll see, I do like Washington to win the series. GL

@BB - I did this with the nets raps with a game by game strategy. I went 3-2. That is not enough profit. I'll go for 1-0 with a large series bet and all the lines turn into pixie dust.

@cal - the hawks bigs are a joke compared to he Wiz. Antic isn't even a center. He masquerades as one but is actually is more of roaming power forward who shoots threes. Nene and Gortat are noting but business underneath. That will be obvious from the get-go and it will be the hole that collapses when Indy needs it most.

Definitely some value at +165. Some people here mentioned a good match up for indiana. I dont really see it. In my opinion, indiana can be compared with the bulls. They both play a terrible offense and only defense wont be enough if you sometimes cant score for 5-6 minutes.
In the other hand, I see the leagues interest in a CF between Indiana and the Heat. Thats the only thing im a little worried. But for this price I will definitely put some money on the wizards. Thanks as always for your great write up

what can you say about nba wants pacers vs miami in eastern finals? so refs would definitely be on the pacers side.
The refs wanted the Nets and it came down to the last 6 seconds and raptor ball for it all.
The disparity in the pacers recent play compared to the wizards play against the bulls is far, far greater than a series where the two teams were basically statistical equals.
THAT disparity will be enough to carry the Wizards here over any favorable reffing.

won't u make more money if u bet this per game? wiz will be nice dogs almost every game. maybe pk when playing at home?
They'll be -4 at home and maybe -4.5 if they are impressive early in the series. That's too much to deal with in a playoffs that has been quite unpredictable ATS-wise.

Agree with you but I have a weird feeling that the pacers win game 1 so I am going to sit back and wait and hope to get an even juicier line in game 2.

Not so sure I like the play. If I were wanting to buy low and sell high. I would be buying the Pacers low and selling Washington high. We all saw how the Pacers struggled to win their series against ATL and we saw how Washington breezed through Chicago. Those results certainly bode well for backing Washington but there is something telling me Indiana has not finished business yet. BOL with your wager but you may need more than a prayer for Washington to win this series.

Arseeeeeeeeeee....I live here...when Nene is healthy they are much better..Wall will eat Hill alive like Teague did...If Wiz make 8 3's a game they will be pressed to lose to a Pacers team who almost didnt even make it to game 7 against a sappy Hawks squad..
