You are right, I hardly watch as much anymore, its sickening watching the entitlement movement further the cause through sports... Racism, stereotypes, etc has been with us since the beginning of time. Make a difference where you are at--Telling someone to change produces opposite results. Success follows people who work hard and don't quit, even when they have failure....nowadays when failure happens; blame systematic racism, blame, blame. You sound like an old racist who's lost touch with reality. NBA is one of the more profitable sports and there's a reason why the cap keeps increasing and average players are making more than top superstars in other leagues.

I have to totally agree with him, and jay I add these prima donnas think their crap doesn’t stink. Why in the world do any of you support and watch and revere these guys. Most of them are a bunch of a holes. I won’t spend one penny watching them or going to a game or buying any of their crap, the NBA totally sucks

The reason the caps rise is because mainly the tv money. I am not sure of the numbers from last year to this year, but ratings have indeed dropped and it's mostly due to the messages being thrown in peoples faces. We watch sports to get away from that shit whether you agree or disagree with it. I do agree I am tired of seeing these threads regardless of if it's right or wrong.

10 years ago the competition was legit!! Now with sports gambling becoming legal everywhere I notice a lot of fishy things going on. Mainly the 4th quarters nothing happens as the bookies/refs step into play. Watching Kobe in his prime was amazing to watch. Now you get LeBron in the Finals and all these players join his team to make it that much easier. No fans is super boring!!!! 

Already breaking views this year for noon EST game and it's Heat/Pels...  Everyone is home and in lockdown in a lot of responsible cities. 

Everyone was home during the summer and their viewership was down 55-60% or more.

Nobody was home in the Summer, even the safest cities re opened and everyone was living lives care free. Also, nobody cared about the finals because two of miami's players were done. Series was done before it even started. Had it been more competitive #s would have been larger but nobody wanted to see the king take the crown again. 

I used to watch a ton but lost interest myself. They're all VERY overpaid and let's be honest somewhat entitled since being treated like demi-gods for being able to put a ball in a round cylinder. People act like the superstars cure cancer in their spare time. The game also isn't nearly as good as the 80s and 90s before free agency and stacking teams became trendy. 

The NBA learned a very valuable lesson post-bubble from what i recall.  They removed the slogans and said there will be less politics going forward.

Me personally i had an issue with millionaire athletes lecturing middle class citizens and those from poverty.  I was praying those guys followed through on their word and boycotted the bubble cause nobody would have cared.

If they really wanted to bring about changed they could easily pool their money and fund their own programs or politician to spark change.  Sitting out 2 games like they did was pathetic virtue signalling.

Americans scream “Freedom of Speech” and no don’t wanna watch sports anymore. Lol. How hypocritical of those who don’t watch sports anymore because of a players political views. Last I remembered we were all entitled to our opinions and have a right to exercise our 1st amendment. 

They were going to boycott the rest of the season until they realized the owners would have right to then not pay them for the remainder of the season. Once their own pocketbooks were about to be affected then all of a sudden they "found a way to be able to play thru the pain."

 You are wrong...people watch now more than ever...maybe not on traditional TV (thus the old stsndard ratings may be down), but more people than ever are watching on their digital devices.

It's not racism the players are just classless and ungrateful as fuck these days. I can't sit and watch the ball go back and forth back and forth back and forth now with bunch of primadonnas on the court. Remember when players were cool as hell? Now they're fucking D bags. 

To be fair I was a lifelong Kobe fan since I was 13 back in '96 when I chose him for my card collection. My guy died so that's part of my outlook maybe. There aren't any cool players to look up to anymore. Kobe died and Fagbron tries to take over my team TF. I even liked Anthony Davis until he went cry baby on the Pelicans crying about he can't win on his own. He had plenty of talent, excuse us if you didn't have the best player in the world by your side too. My young prospect Lakers team all got traded away for a bunch of has beens and won a shitty Championship in some bubble that they wouldn't have won on a normal year. 

Name some of your favorite legendary players / personalities from the past. Then do now. 

Shaq, Barkley, Rodman, Jordan, Kobe, Iverson. 

Ok current age. Um. Lonzo Ball? LeQueer? Kevin Durant? The guy is a freaking amazing player but who the F likes Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving? I kinda like him but he's a strange one. What the hell. Karl Anthony Towns? Just fucking retire and be the doctor you want to be. The league is dead man.
