they have a better shot against miami then chicago in my opinion... this mavs defense is extremely under rated

I got a little on them at +1600.  I also have a little on Dallas vs Miami in the finals at +1600 as well.

I took dallas midway through the year at 15 to 1..put 200 on it..it was my only future play of the year...debating on a possible hedge..any thoughts?

Nice bet, you could safely pick a few miami wins and come out on top either way. But if you bet 15k on games, shit lol, I guess the potential to come out with 7k either way doesnt really interest you as much as most of us

it definitely interests me but the thought of putting money on lebron james makes my stomach turn...

ride it out for a couple games.... even if you do get heat at home up 3-0 or 3-1 in worse case moneyline should only be 170 to 200 and you get to see how the series drags on ... bol whatever you choose

I hate to do this (actually I love it), but you guys got ripped off.  All of you!

ANYBODY could have gotten Dallas to win it all at 24-1 odds!

RIGHT BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS STARTED!!

You all need a calculator.

All of your sportsbooks are smiling big  because of you guys.  They make sooooo much money off you futures bettors.

You don't understand HOW MUCH FLEXIBILITY you are giving up by taking FUTURES bets such as those.

What if Dallas didn't even make it to the playoffs?

What if Dirk got hurt ANYTIME during the regular season or in the playoffs?  Would you still want your money there?  Too bad, because you are LOCKED in.

Don't get locked into futures bets with crappy odds!!!

$100 originally bet on the 15 to 1 wins you $1500.

OR you could have waited until the playoffs and played their series prices throughout the playoffs with that original $100 and gotten 24 to 1 odds!

Here are the calculations:

Original $100 on the series price of -200 against Portland wins you $50.

That original $100 that you would have had on Dallas throughout the playoffs on the futures bet PLUS the $50 winnings put on Dallas winning the series vs the Lakers @ +300 odds:

$150 x 3 = $450 winnings plus your $150 = $600 total.

$600 to win the series against OKC @ -150 = $400

(calculation is $600 x 100 / 150 for -150 odds)

now take your $1000 and put it on Dallas to win the finals series at +150 and you win $1500.

That's a total of $2500 - original bet of $100 = $2400 winnings

Risk $100 to Win $2400.

Plus then you have the option of taking your winnings and running instead of being LOCKED IN on a futures bet.  If Dirk got hurt in their last game against OKC, you could take your $900 profit before the NBA Finals and run if you wanted.
