OMG poor record in college hoops.. i hope to increase my winning rate today hehe
Louisville @ UCONN (-4) (7:00PM ET) (ESPN)
Heading in Saturday’s action the Louisville Cardinals had won 11 of their last 13 games and is healthy after starting the season with injuries to key personnel. Seniors David Padgett and Juan Palacios are back in the lineup for the Cardinals giving much needed leadership on the court, which resulted in winning basketball. Louisville is 4-1 straight up on the road this season but hasn’t played any team of much quality in their 5 road games and faces a good defensive team with the most improved team in the Big East UCONN. UCONN was super impressive in blowing out Marquette a week back and shooting 54% from the field in victory. Louisville is a good defensive team limiting teams to 37.9% shooting from the field ranking them 12th nationally. In their route against South Florida Rick Pitino went 10 deep and got production from sophomore Earl Clark who lead the team in scoring with 18. It might be like the old days for Rick Pitino utilizing his depth and throwing three different presses on you. Heck it worked against South Florida as the Cardinals shot nearly 51% in their 20-point road win. It could be the formula for a competitive game at UCONN. I am going to take Louisville +4 in what will be a close one-possession game.
Oklahoma St @ Oklahoma (-10) (9:00PM ET) (ESPN)
Oklahoma St is a bad road team as they are 0-4 straight up and ATS in 4 true road contests this season being outscored by an average of 10 points this season. Oklahoma shoots an average of 49% at home this season and is 9-2 at home this season. Junior forward Taylor Griffin matched his career high in scoring against Texas Tech pouring in 16 points. The guard play has improved for the Sooners behind Tony Crocker and junior guard Austin Johnson. The Sooners have wins over Gonzaga, West Virginia and Arkansas this season and will cover this spread and an Oklahoma St team who hasn’t figured out how to bring their home game to the road. Take Oklahoma –10.
Charleston at Wofford Jan 28 2008 7:00PM
Charleston has lost their last 3 games SU and ATS. Their D has let them down on the road allowing an average of 78.1 PPG. Wofford on the other hand has won their last 3 games. At home they are 7-3 SU. Charleston is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 game's played on Monday's while Wofford is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 Monday contests. Charleston play's very well vs. Wofford but tonight look for the home team to win it. Play on Wofford -1.5.
