Scal does his best to give us insight on a game and it is ultimately up too US if we will bet or not.

Scal continue your hard work, because surely it does not go unnoticed. Tough break tonight, but we WILL get it back.

    BOL.

    Thanks man.

OF COURSE, it will come back

But if you don't win the next one after that???

The SAME EXACT GUYS will be here running their mouths...

You know it. I know it. They know it.

I like the write-ups because its good to see logic used in making betting decisions, but I'm sure they are time consuming and you should just write the key reasons and not feel like you have to go in-depth, if they want to follow they can, if they don't they don't.

All the in-depth information makes these "followers" think your a betting god and I'm sorry going 14-8 or whatever it is does not make you so, it is just not a good sample size, I have seen cappers like AMD go 110-85 over a season and I think that is much more impressive to do with that many games.

I hope your next post is just plain and simple. A pick, 4-5 key points and that is all you need, you only making money to yourself, if others make it with you just icing on the top

AMD doesn't have 20 posts of write-up so he can play 200 games.

    Heres some picks for tomorrow.

    Yankees
    Red Sox
    Mets.

I didn't even look at who they are playing. I may go 3-0. BOOM! I'm a genius.

I break a game down to the point where even the cobweb in the back of the locker room is inspected.

Don't like it? Don't want to read it? Scroll to the bottom for the pick (dozens here do and I know they do because their comments are addressed in the OP and they don't even know it).

I'll have you know that if you want intelligence, that is a basic expansive general intelligence about the world and a multitude of things, the key is to be WELL READ.

If you are not, if you want shortcuts and cliff notes for everything, prepare for some letdowns in life.

There will be a guy out there who WILL be well read and just as skilled as you are at a craft but because he demonstrates a general intelligence beyond yours to an employer, he will get the job offer. He will get the promotion. He may even get what is supposed to be your future wife!

I'm not kidding about that and it goes far beyond my threads but life isn't about shortcuts. Success is about detail and meticulousness, about caring about your craft.

    That even applies to capping.

oh,and to that d i ckk-smoker whose name aint even worth remembering....scalabrine DEFINITELY mentioned the cavs would probably be trailing by big figures at sum point in the game and yes it was before tip-off..i specifically remember reading it so get ya facts rite you bottom-feeding,pusculent,worthless sack of steaming sh i+.........you call him a
BS artist yet he is in profit for the nba season on posted plays which is more than can be said for most round here...how is he B.S ing exactly??

    All spot on as usual.

Not a SINGLE person liked the Hawks here. Maybe someone being a wise guy but there was no good reason to back them except:

    "They are at home!"

    or

    "The line is sketchy!"

    But post-game after losing?

    Scal is the devil incarnate!

Even if its just saving you money you would lose by falling for the gift looking line. Just food for thought my man

Oh for the love of god the refs do NOT matter in the long run.

I have never capped a game in my life except 1 or 2 with Tim Donaghy where the refs blew me up.

OF COURSE some call more fouls here or there but it works for you just as it works against you.

I'm not saying the line wasn't sketchy. It shocked me too.

But my point about the line is this:

Line reading is saying Vegas knows more than you and you are using the line as a shortcut to manipulate Vegas to get on their side and not let Vegas manipulate you.

I am telling you that you can cap a game properly and all the line movement and wacky opening lines FLY out the window. That is not a way to cap big bets and key games. It's a shortcut. Works sometimes, others not so much.

Deep stuff, but in capping one must remember too, that these players are human and they have off shooting nights as well as lack of excitement for all games, they might be tired and may not pay attention to details. Capping isn't suppose to be easy and sometimes it just comes down to winning coin flips...at the end of the day what is the purpose of a spread to create 50/50 action, I think most forget that around here as they are quick to yell moose to everything, the player at the end of the day does not care if we cover or not

If you expected this, then why didn't you tell peope BEFORE the game? You told them everything that every Hawks player, coach and their Mother has said in the past week. Yet you neglected to tell them that your lock of the week would be facing a double digit deficit.

Man up you sack of crap.

I DID TELL THEM BEFORE THE GAME YOU FOOL.

    LOOK AT THE TIMESTAMPS.

What does post #198 say and what is the timestamp.

Read the thread before telling the OP what he said and didn't say.

Boy, you REALLY think I said professional bookmakers shade me. You REALLY think I was serious. You do not think that was said tongue-in-cheek!

    You guys are a TRIP!!!!

Look at who I am dealing with on this site!

Who would have thought Mike Scott, a player that averages 9.2 PPG score 26 while only missing one shot? Nobody can know that. He would usually score close to 15-20 points less any other game. If he didn't have a game like he did the game would probably be in OT or already won. Put on your big boy pants and take the loss like men.

I don't mind the Mike Scott performance. Cavs would have lost if he didn't play.

in all honesty while a loss is a loss, it stings a bit less knowing you made the pick for the right reason. in situations like this I'm not sure why anyone would blame the capper offering valid and as you mentioned, NONREBUKED insight on the play as opposed to blaming the team who didn't show up, blaming the team who out of nowhere played dominantly as if they did care, or even blaming their own self for choosing what they personally were willing to risk.

a lot of people want the free payday without the responsibility and that's rarely how the wagering world works. (unless we are talkin a noon knicks game vs anyone except the Bucks, because we all know those games are pretty damn close to free cake)

GL scal, get em next time.

I love poker but I've had to change to sports betting permanently. I simply can't sit at a table for 6-7 hours to get my queens cracked and go busto or throw away 40% of my profit chasing a flush draw because I raised preflop and got called at 3am.

Poker is a GREAT game, if it frozen in time. It isn't and therefore takes too much of my life without enough return.

NONREBUKED - Not a word in the dictionary but a perfect one in this thread, and tonight, I christen it a real word

Now usually I'd say the bounceback game for NY after this game is golden and almost a sure thing...

Except there is one teensy weensy problem.

    Since you mentioned it....

    They play AT the heat.....
