Because being better than someone in a single category does not make them a better player at the same age?! There is so much more to the game than shooting percentage. Just look at what Jason Kidd accomplished with those Nets teams early in his career, and he couldn’t shoot a lick. How can someone who watches so much basketball be so blind to the nuisances of the game, I ask myself? And the only answer is trolling. You are a troll. No other answer makes sense. 
Trae Young is an above average pg and you’re comparing him to two of the greatest guards to ever play the game in Steph Curry and Jason Kidd. And calling us trolls for disagreeing with you. Trae Young is not that good. He’s much better than when he came in the league but he’s not Jason Kidd, Steph Curry category. Get real.
I completely agree, i dont think i made any comment about Trae being better than Luka...ive been a Luka Lova since his first game with Real Madrid...the kid has "it"...Jordan, Magic, Kobe, Bird...they all had "it"...Dallas just has to do better with building a balanced team around him...Jordan had no one either during his first few seasons, then pieces were put into place for success...i truly believe the same will happen for the Mavs within the next few years...Doncic is too special of a talent to be surrouded by Unicorns and other B and C level talent

Exactly. He's an above average point guard right now. Could be a superstar we'll see but not yet.
Compare him to kidd and curry he's more like kidd because he's not as much of a sharpshooter as he is an assist guy.

Westbrick is/was a far better rebounder. I wouldn't say Trae is a better shooter than Westbrick at 22, who's shot seems to have gotten worse has his season progressed. I wouldn't call you a troll but I do believe you have a very simplistic view of basketball. You probably didn't play it, or any team sport growing up, so you don't seem to understand the X's and O's. Trae had a rough night. At 22, on the road, in a 2nd round playoff series against the #1 seed, he had a rough night. He still got to the line, which Curry never did at 22 because he only shot jumpers, never came into the key. And ended with 21 points and 11 assists. I only saw the the 2nd half. I saw that he had a few shots blocked, which will happen when you're under 6', and that he had some early turnovers but again, had a assist to turnover ration of over 2:1.in a 2nd round playoff series, as a #5 seed against a #1 seed, leading a team. At 22. As i've been saying from the beginning, Trae will never be the shooter Steph is but who is? I don't think he will be as good as Steph in the end but he's a more complete player than Steph at 22.
I don't think he needs to drop weight, per se. I think today's players are too slim and this leads to injuries. He will tone up though. He's only 22. Given a few more years of an NBA training regimen, at 25 he will be a monster. I think in a couple years he will be the hands down best player of the league. With his natural point guard skills in a 6'7" body, he's already right there but Joker has him at this point. Both of those guys ability to run the point at their size sets them apart.

I played basketball for about 20 years. When younger I could play 5 hours straight days in a row. Very little football. But, I'm better wagering at football than basketball. I don't really know why, but that's the case.

OF COURSE trae young is as good if not better than steph curry at 22. I/we are complete idiots because we're talking about age 22-not the player comparison-how can we be so stupid! It's ok that we're stupid, because the saviors are here to tell us how it really is.
And OF COURSE i don't know what the h I'm talking about, never played sports. I could never dream to be at the StumpTownStu level of understanding sports, who's always in a position to judge others. Traditionally, euro and international players spend less time pumping iron and more time on the court, whereas the past 2 decades the north american philosophy is opposite.
Too many players are more concerned how their shoulders and arms look for the camera in their uniforms rather than their FT % or defensive ability.
