What if I told you Kevin Durant dribbled past mid-court and offered up the ball to Rick Carlisle?

What if I told you the Mavs in-bounded the ball and Deshawn Stevenson hit a meaningless three-pointer?

What if I told you what looked like a bizarre ending was really a carefully orchestrated plot to make the game go over the number?

Darnell Jackson is a complete bonehead for hoisting that shot.  You have the right to be ticked off.

After more than an hour of watching and re-winding the exchange between Carlisle and Durant, I finally figured out last night's mystery.  At first, as I wrote above, I thought Carlisle had probably offered Durant some form of cogratulations on the win, like "Good game", but that's not what he said.  Carlisle actually said "Roll Tide", which automatically made Durant turn towards him with the ball in his outstretched hand and reply in kind with "Roll Tide."  Then Carlisle grabbed the ball.  So that's it.

By the way, they were both right - Roll Tide.

yeah and he was previously 0 for 8 in his pathetic NBA career from 3. I guess he was paying me back for that lucky Dallas over. Will have to go to a Clippers game and get some floor seats and yell at him for that shot because he cost me more than those seats will cost.

Only thing I can compare it to is the NFL game (teams slip my mind) when the one team walked off the field to protest a call and the other team walked in for 2 points (which they wouldnt have done otherwise) and covered by 1 point....

I didn't watch this game but it sounds absolutely ridiculous.  With the admitted ref rigging games, this needs to be addressed.

If you want to out some real heat under their asses, and I am not kidding here, contact Stern and let him know your displeasure and suggest an internal inquiry (Stern does not want any more bad press after the referee situation you can be sure), in turn, contact the FBI.  These guys salivate over investigating this kind of activity.  They have probably already been made aware of this type of activity.  Sportbetting is big business, just ask some of the refs and Pete Rose...if someone can make cash out of this, they will try.

I know if I dropped a few units on this game I would be shocked and irate...don't let it slide if you truly believe something is amiss here.  The feds don't mess around.
