3rd road game of a 4 game trip. You said "3rd game in 4 nights"....2 different things.
I played the Nuggz because they were hot and because 'VALUE'' was on them (from my perspective of course). It's not just about playing 'HOT' teams. I need to see some 'value' in backing a particular side.

you can burn your money if you like but don't get others to jump off the same cliff you chose....
OK, not sure what you want me to do here. Never did I say in my write-up for people to bet this game. I just shared with the public what I'm betting today and MY (key word being 'MY') reasons why. Please explain how I'm "getting others to jump off the same cliff"? thanks

Yes, I do.
Look at their last 7 games or so (I broke it down somehwere above actually). Heat have started out HOT in most of them in the 1st half....

Advanced statistical model, excel based. The reason I say advanced, is because it took me awhile to create it and it has a lot of factors. The bare minimum is the MOV (Margin Of Victory) and SOS (Strength Of Schedule). Then it accounts for the 4 key factors to winning basketball games: EFG%, TOV%, ORB%, FTA/FGA. Only the 'real' discrepancies are accounted for, like team A has the #1 EFG% on offense, while team B is #20 in EFG% on defense.
Thanks mate, definitely helps a lot. All those stats eg. EFG% etc can be found on nbastuffer.com yeah?
This provides a good starting point and also the 'peace of mind' when it comes to analyzing lines (that's why I feel this is so important. See DB2033's comments on the first page. He's obviously just looking at wins/losses in the last few games and making a judgement call. If he truly had some data, he's see that this line on the HEAT game is way off)...After that you, just have to handicapp the 'shit' out of the game (excuse my french), focus on RELEVANT key trends, scheduling (very important in NBA), revenge scenarios (when applicable...not all teams react to these the same), 'line-value' from bookies' perspective, potential 'look-ahead' spots (not as big in the NBA as in college), etc....
HOpe this helps.

If I did something to upset you, I truly apologize. Not sure why my handicapping upsets you so much.
I am under the impression that there are a multitude of ways/methods to look at and analyze games. I never said my 'logic' / 'angle' is the right way. It's just my way of looking at the game.
If my 'angle' upsets you so much that you wish a 'truck would run me over on a highway' then I just want to apologize once again.
In terms of where I get the data for %-ages, I subscribe to a reliable service, that's been in business for a number of years. They get this information directly from the sportbooks themselves.
One last time: Miami is +1. That's pretty much Pick 'em. It's NOT as obvious as you make it out to be that Lakers is the right play today. If it was, I can guarantee you that the line would not be this low. You might be a smart guy but you're not smarter than the bookmakers with their advanced algorithms....No one is...
Enjoy the game and go HEAT!

GL to you too, but I hope you know that 1 game does not make the 'best capper'. It's only one game! Nothing more, nothing less.

hey NE, thanks but please don't get involved in 'defending me'. No need for it.
I already told people in the past: feel free to vent, offer opposing viewpoints, and pretty much say/do whatever anyone pleases. It doesn't bother me and I do understand sometimes it helps people cope with this stressful activity we call 'gambling'.
702_Capper is welcome to his opinion, and I will respond to it if I need to, but I woudl appreciate it if noone got involved in things that are not directed to them. No need for it and no need to get stressed out over such things...
GL buddy! Go HEAT
