The urge to start grabbing all these +7.5s is growing.  I'm overloaded already with my crummy +7, but this +7.5 line is ridiculous!

jcilla, the lines in this series are way off.  The Spurs are being priced based on their reputation.  That's why they're a much bigger home favorite than the Hornets were, yet the Hornets can run circle around these geezers anytime they want.  San Antonio has a lot of pride, no doubt, but will pride be enough to cover a crazy line like -7.5?  Spurs backers are getting screwed here.  The Bator Line is -2.5.

Yes, I can confirm that most did....Thus, I'm liking the Hornets, but not just because of the touts selling the Spurs picks, but it seems way to high.Could see the Spurs winning by a bucket at the end, if they do in fact win...

Is the Bator line what you think the spread should be? I completely agree with pounding the Hornets tonight because of the abnormally large spread. However, I can't get the other series out of my head. Like Detroit/Magic yesterday...I just need to pull the trigger. Full blast on the Hornets tonight.

Don't you think Vegas know the Spurs value?  If you were right and let's presume Vegas agrees with you at 2.5, then why do they keep raising the spread?  They want us to jump on the dogs.  Think this over.  We still have time fellows.

This first half was very refreshing. Don't mind the Boston -2 at half. Like the over 88 much better. I can see Boston pouring it on in the second. Lebron will drive and shoot 30 foul shots, Allen will hit some open 3's, many points in transition by both teams coming up. Cleveland will be forced to start taking shots much earlier in their set. Let the race begin...

No, they don't.  More than likely every tom, dick, and joe service released the Spurs, like Bator said.  I like the Hornets even more now.

Hypothetical situation: You've got a 3 team parlay going. First 2 games hit and now you have a chance to hedge the 3rd game and take the opposite side to guarantee a profit but maybe screw yourself out of more potential winnings. Do you hedge to guarantee a profit of some kind and take the money or do you let it ride?

Majority of the money is on the Spurs. The line movement tells you how much money is on what side and the line keeps moving up because of the majority on the Spurs.

The oddsmakers (not the Vegas oddsmakers, of which there are none, but the REAL oddsmakers camped offshore) set this line at 6.5 and still the public is going for the Spurs, raising the line to 7.5.  They didn't set this line too high at all. 

The Bator Line is not meant for anyone to bet into.  It's strictly for news matter only (as they used to always say on the old scorephones).
