You must have posted this to get attention, and surely it is what you got.

My only knock on Jordan is he did it while the NBA was transitioning. He did it post Bird/Magic era, Bad boys era, and in an era of expansion. In the late 80's the NBA added teams in Miami, Orlando, Charloote and Minnesota. In 1995, two additional teams were added. That diluted the NBA's talent pool and made it a tad easier for MJ. He still had to win in the Finals against some talented teams; Magic Johnson's last stand, the talented Blazers team, Charles Barkley's MVP season in Phoenix, a 64 win Sonics team, and twice against a tough and rugged Utah team.

In all if his time, Jordan collected hardware like no one other, and when it counted the most, he went a combined 6-0 in the Finals. And they did play defense back then, it is much easier these days.

LeBron was born to play basketball. He is the ringless king. Already having made it to two Finals (0-2 series, 2-8 record). He has 3 MVPS and is already a hall of fame player.

At this point, he is not Jordan.

Lebron is a freak athlete that would probably succeed in any sport.  Jordan was an average athlete who worked harder than any basketball player in history and became great.  I think he made his teammates great.  I don't see Lebron ever having that.  He is great in most statistical areas of the game.  All individual accomplishment.  He is a great individual defensive player and offensive player.  How to explain leading his team in assists?  Well for starters 6.2 isn't the mark you want for your leading assist man.  Secondly most of those 6.2 a game are to wade or bosh when he was playing.  I'd compare it to Allen Iverson's assists.  Lastly Lebron doesn't have the competitive drive to leave it out there every game like its his last.  No way in hell should that Dallas Maverick team have beat the Heat in the finals last year.  He gets bored and stops trying.

MJ played against tougher opponents. The defense in the NBA was solid then. Players are flat out lazy now. The rules have also changed so it's pointless to debate this.

players are lazy nowadays? holy fuck. What would u call Chicago Bulls defense led by Michael Jordan allowing Kobe Bryant to score 42 points in one half then?

No1 will EVER score 42 points in one half against Lebron james. NEVER. And that is what seperates him from a player like Michael. Im not saying michael jordan is a bad player at all, but he is nowhere near lebrons level.

    Are you 12 years old?
Sure, Lebron is a superior athlete, without question...lebron has a better inside game for sure..but that's it..lebron isnt half the defensive player Mike was,he doesn't have the perimeter game Mike had,I'll give Lebron a push on passing..basketball IQ,it's not even close..and the biggest advantage for Mike,CLUTCH! Name one player that was as money in the bank when the game was on the line? I didnt see Bill Russell or Jerry West, but I think Mike would be almost a unanimous pick by any basketball historian..and I'm not knocking Lebron,at all,Mike wasn't money in the bank at the beginnng of his career, but when he did grasp that phase of his game, name one time he failed to come up big in any big time situation he was called on to do it..you can't because he did it every time he needed to..sure he might have missed shots at the end of a game to win it,but never in the playoffs

Gr2168, so not true... You only base this on some stupid youtube highlights, and look; you can see all the clutch 3s he sinks are all with poorly poorly defense no coverage at all, its so ugly defense to look at it hurts my eyes. I could sink lots of 3s without any defense covering me...

The guy can play defense? So can lebron. But lebron will never allow Kobe to score 42 points against him in one half, michael did that

It's much better than anything you've got.  It's clear you didn't follow basketball when Jordan played, you've watched maybe three clips on YouTube - and read maybe three stats about MJ online - to form your opinion.  We get it.  You're a 14 year old living with your parents - and you need attention.  Which is why you use so many emoticons.

MJ is the greatest player ever.  He didn't have to change teams while he was in his prime to ride on another player's coattails (which is what James did in moving to Wade's team by the way).  Athletically - James IS more impressive than MJ.  But MJ was a closer - he was the man when it counted (in the fourth quarter, when the game was on the line) while James passes up shots when the game is on the line - because he's scurred.  James is a great player.  Jordan is the greatest of all time.  PERIOD.

And since you won't understand that - this is for you...

Boston Boy you are a clown to think Lamebron is even close to MJ. But then you are the same person that said the refs are fixing the playoff games. Come back to reality please!
