Not saying I agree with LB being better than MJ, but I still will never agree with the idea of basing who the best player is in any sport just on how many rings they won, It could be possible to be the best player of all time without winning any championships. Barry Bonds is the best hitter of all time and never won a world series and there is more parity in the NBA and in all sports today than there ever was back when MJ played. It is a totally different game and league today. So it really is not fair to ever compare a present NBA player with someone who played in the 80's and 90's. I also doubt MJ would have won all those rings without Pippen, Grant, and company. Lebron is the best overall player in the NBA today no question regardless of whether or not he has a ring yet. Maybe not the best clutch player and not the best at winning in the playoffs, but still the best overall player when you consider everything.

Look what happened to the Cavs once he left. They had the best record in the league and then all of a sudden the worst record? I wonder why?

OP, you are probably right, just as how Micheal Jackson was a terrible kid and how Justin Bieber is 1000x better.

Guru basetball and baseball are totally different and cant b compared.. The NBA is a stars league and for the most part goin back the stars have won the championship..  Russel  Kareem Magic Bird Jordan Hakkeem Duncan Shaq Kobe.  Yes u have the occasional team like the pistons or celtics but those teams were a collection of really great players just under superstars.  baseball has 11 players and 1 player really cant dominate a game on occasion they can but in the nba a superstar dominates the ball and there are only 5 guys on court so the star has way bigger impact on game....

No 1 can deny lebrons talent and he is a dominant force.  He just lacks that killer instinct and clutch jean.. And people dont realize how big of a part that plays in the nba.  But as great as lebron is he deserves every bit of criticism he gets becuz throughout his career aside from a a few series he has been a choker.  Its all mental with lebron becuz we have all seen his talents and know wat he is capable of but for some reason wen the pressure mounts down the stretch he caves u can see it in his body language.  I dont see Lebron ever catching jordan or even Kobe.  A team like the thunder is growing leaps and bounds and havent came close to their potential while the heat are maxed out with their potential.  I see lebron getin maybe 2 rings and yes he will go down as 1 of greats but never in jordans level

Not true. Look at NFL for example a Quarterback has a lot of impact on a team, as he should be the leader, and in NFL there is more players on the field than in Basketball.

Anytime I see a post that says Lebron is better than Jordan ....I just assume it is a joke.  Lebron is a stud and one of the most igfted players ever, but there is no comparison so far. We'll see in another 4-5 years maybe.

I figured out the only way this statement can be true...Lebron James is 1000x better than Michael Jordan...

He is talking about Lebron James the basketball player and Michael Jordan the baseball player.

No one will ever touch MJ as the G.O.A.T.  for now or several years to come. As far as Lebron is concerned, he can turn around his career and it starts this year. His got his maturity now. The heat is Lebrons team now, even Dwade has already conceded and passed the torch onto him already. He still manages to put up his numbers back when he was a cavalier or far better. Yes he have two other stars with him, but who doesnt?

Lebron gets the hate coz of putting the spotlight on his self but truthfully he plays hard at any given game day. Yes, he's not that good of a closer hitting shots down a minute or less, but he closes out more games  before reaching the 4th quarter than anybody else. Do you know of anyone who can close a game in 3 quarters? Lets not thrive on games that are decided by winning shots just bcoz it looks and feels good. This situations happens very seldom.

MJ and Kobe had a very good solid team built around them, one that complements them really well and which work with, arguably the best coach of all time, Phil Jackson's triangle. They were both very fortunate to have PJ. Kobe was with the formidable shaq and bunch of veteran role players when he got his 3 rings. After that it was Kobe's peak season with Gasol and Bynums peak at the same time and still with coach PJ.

So before you bash LeBron, be aware that he did not play with any all star caliber until He reached Miami Heat and he didnt have a coach with a system like Phil's. He pretty much carries the load and tries to make his team better. He was never a ball hog to jack up his stats, he gets his stats naturally because he plays that good. Unfortunately for him somehow something in the team is still lacking that is why he still doesnt have a ring. It wouldve been easier if the Heat will have a decent legit center even in exchange of one of the 2 stars, bosh or wade.

With all LBJs personal achievements, I think he is due for some amount of respectable appreciation but to say he is 1000x better than MJ is not appropriate. He can but he has to win more rings and break more records than MJ did. He is capable and its possible but the challenge is can he do it? Time will only tell...

lefraud is not even the top 5....   he is a nice player but greatest ever?  that is david stern for you... force feeding the public....   great? lechoke?  he can't shoot fts...   especially when the game is on the line, where also he likes to disappear..  if you take away all his dunks his shooting % is pathetic...  do you know what it means to be great?  cause lebron sure as hell has no clue....  lead by example, make your teammates better.. be coachable...  he does nothing of the sorts..  to say he is the greatest is really unfair to him,  let him play, let his career evolve then judge, but for now it is an embarrassment to all the great ones....   he has done nothing worthy for the comparisons to begin .....   if you notice , only the sportscasters who never played the game cite lebron as the great one, you never hear a former player say he is the greatest ever, they might say maybe in the future or has the potential to be the NEXT  great one....    lebron should just drive to the hoop everytime cause no one can stop him.... oh yeah but himself... he can't shoot fts...

notice how BOSTONCELTICSFTW has stopped talking and asomugha is doing all of the talking now? pretty obvious its him trying to make a new name so he doesnt look like the only retarded jackass that would ever possibly even consider this idiotic topic to be true. Asomugha, do covers a favor and just delete your account. Your a fucking idiot and know nothing about basketball. you talk about "these 12 year olds", your the fucking little kid that hasnt watched any basketball games during the pre-lebron era. Look up the 1986 bulls vs celtics game in which Jordan put up 63 and watch it, then come back on here and praise the god of basketball, Michael Jordan, like you should and thank me for the lesson in basketball history

Tell me, what kinda team do LeBron have? He has; Dwyayne "i cant step up" wade, and he has an injured Chris bosh, and the most horrible bench without any depth, yet the manages pulls through like a real leader should, even his coach is calling horrible calls, and Miamis defense is horrible without LeBron.

There is no-way in your incoherent rambling you can ever be serious stating MJ is better than LeBron, you are so pathetic if you compare these 2, LeBron is OUTSTANDING, and he is on a totally different level than MJ is. LeBron is probably the best athlete to ever have lived when you look overall in all sports. Lmfao at these kids, MJ looks like he doesnt know what a basketball is when you compare him to king lebron.

The only chance for us (Boston Celtics) to win the finals is if Lebron gets injured or if LeBron has to do the job on his own, because Miami has a horrible horrible team besides LeBron. Tbh, without LeBron James the Miami Heat is the worst team in NBA history if wade doesnt show up.

LeBron > MJ - BY FAR

I'll assume your coming down from a Meth high, or your the worlds best satirist....or maybe you have absolutely NO clue what your talking about, cuz this is just about the most assinine thing i've read in a long ass time!

Rose is the only reason his team made the playoffs.....Miami did better without Lebronze.

Miami Heat wouldnt even be close to playoff contenders without lebron. Chicago would make it to playoffs and probably also win the Championship without Jordan. Lebron is a much more important player (MVP) to Miami than MJ was to Chicago. Lebron is much better than Michael Jordan, and it's a disgrace to Lebron when you even try and compare them.

Ohh, another one jumped on the MiamiHeat-Hater-Bandwaggon, congratulations, you're just one among many. And you are all pathetic. If you think this is the easiest road to the NBA finals, it just confirms my theory that none of you haters know anything about basketball.
