Your right this is just a general but i think you are underappreciating the lakers. I am no laker fan thats for sure but i see the point with bos unable to win on the road... but what about the lakers home record road record or record against SA gives you any inclinking of doubt that the lakers can pull out wins in this series....You got the old slow Spurs who are getting it done but after last night giving up a 20 point lead to the laks wow i dont know how you are bottom bagging the lakers i just shoot at another post stating SA by double digits 2morro

I was never claiming anything about ATS in this thread nor do I think George was talking ATS when he posted this thread. This thread is all about the Lakers being the weakest team left in the final 4 right? The Lakers didnt show up in the game till 5 mins left in the 3rd Quarter and still beat the Spurs and the reason is simple....the Spurs are prone to long periods of time without scoring. That will not cut it against the Lakers.
Tex as far as your comments about the old tired worn out Spurs.....im not drinking that Kool Aid. They are still the team to beat in the West because they are the defending champs. That being said its never easy to dethrone a team but I believe the Lakers are the team to do it this year.

I think it's hilarious how everyone was hyping up Utah to beat the Lakers..."the Jazz are great at home, they won't lose to the Lakers at home AND they'll be able to beat the Lakers in L.A."
Many were saying how great the Jazz were, "they're the best team in the West."
And now what do we get? Well, since the Lakers beat the Jazz, now crackheads like GeorgE call them "inconsistent" and say they suck. It's funny how people view teams differently before and after series. Were they a different team? No.
Lakers are playing the best ball of ANYONE right now. That's shown not only by their 8-2 record in the playoffs, but, their overall record with Pau Gasol in the lineup. I don't feel like looking it up, but, I think it's something like 30-7 with Gasol in the lineup. The Lakers are not only playing extremely well, they're also probably the most entertaining team to watch...the fantastic team basketball they're playing, really moving the ball around nicely in the triangle is simply a pleasure to watch.

Detroit is BY FAR the best team in the league this season. If they do not win the NBA title this season I promise I will never post in the NBA forum again because I would obviously be off base with my thoughts because I don't see any team close the the Pistons. The Spurs and Celtics match up well with them because they can play the defense to hang in, but neither team has the talent or depth to win a 7 game series with them. The Lakers just match up horribly and would lose quite easily in my opinion. If it's a Lakers / Celtics finals though the Lakers will win.
Unfortunately, this thread will be bumped in the near future for your careless remark...you would be a rich man if you believed this wholeheartedly because you would have bet a sizable sum on the Pistons to win the Championship and would have gotten nice odds midway through the season (and they were showing you everything midway through the year as they are now)...even if they beat the celts which they could very well do (its 1-1 by the way with potentially 5 more to play)...then they will play the Lakers or the champs...either way, this is not the same laker team that got bombed by the pistons in the finals...although now that im looking at this, here's an interesting stat in your favor if its a pist/lak finals

I admit, the lakers seem too fast for them. Their bench (especially Farmar) is playing with heart and Kobe, damn, the boy is good. Still, it aint over yet but they are giving the spurs for there money worth.
