bruce bowen prob. is the best defender in the league they guy is flat out amazing....but he WONT stop kobe lol...thats just dumb to think man...kobe was the MVP for a reason and hes also a huge reason on why the lakers were the #1 seed in the WEST....gasol was a huge pickup, odoms great he can handle post and shoot, derek fisher does the little things, big 3 pointers shooters in sasha and radmonivic
 
Lakers are just good this year plain and simple

Heard talk down here in south tex.pop is going to start big shot bob and let him guard kobe----bob knows all of kobes moves and i think he can shut kobe down......going to rest bob first two games and plan on this action in sa, where bob has a little help......could be move of the year.....bob is running for mayor next year ...

If i upset any lakers fans, i apologize,  no need for insults.  It would be nice if you guys could give your opinion without insulting.  I am not a hater, not a gambler (dont like that word) but i am an investor.  I put money on games every night so i need to invest with my head, my good sense and stats, not with my heart.  I came up with this after analyzing all 4 teams.  I see a Detroit/San Antonio finals.  I dont think any team can shut down Kobe but they can slow him down, shut down Gasol and the lakers are in trouble.

What do people see in Detroit?  Seriously, this team seems way overrated.

The Pistons are by far the weakest team out of the 4.   Hopefully when they get swept or lose it in Game 6, 4-2 or Game 4, 4-1, people would realize this.

I agree for the most part, but I think they would win in a series against the Celtics. I think the Spurs and Pistons are better teams though.

It probably wasn't a good idea to post this though. All you're going to get around here is a bunch of Laker fans calling you an idiot. Although there are some intelligent Laker fans around here, as a whole Laker fans seem to be the most arrogant and unintelligent fans I can think of.

Detroit is BY FAR the best team in the league this season. If they do not win the NBA title this season I promise I will never post in the NBA forum again because I would obviously be off base with my thoughts because I don't see any team close the the Pistons. The Spurs and Celtics match up well with them because they can play the defense to hang in, but neither team has the talent or depth to win a 7 game series with them. The Lakers just match up horribly and would lose quite easily in my opinion. If it's a Lakers / Celtics finals though the Lakers will win.

Why not thank the Laker fans for over-inflating a series line so that you can get the Spurs at over +225 for the series?  I am not sure there has been a better value in the playoffs
 
Last time I checked, there was a 1 game difference during the regular season....and one of the teams has won 4 titles recently....not to mention winning a game 7 on the road.  They bumped that 85% home team winner down to 84.7% hahah

  This has to be the funniest post in this thread........I hope you dont really believe that Robert Horry can guard Kobe?  If thats the Case the Spurs might as well hand the trip to the finals to the Lakers the same way The Grizz handed them Gasol.

I think it's hilarious how everyone was hyping up Utah to beat the Lakers..."the Jazz are great at home, they won't lose to the Lakers at home AND they'll be able to beat the Lakers in L.A."
 
Many were saying how great the Jazz were, "they're the best team in the West."
 
And now what do we get? Well, since the Lakers beat the Jazz, now crackheads like GeorgE call them "inconsistent" and say they suck. It's funny how people view teams differently before and after series. Were they a different team? No.
 
Lakers are playing the best ball of ANYONE right now. That's shown not only by their 8-2 record in the playoffs, but, their overall record with Pau Gasol in the lineup. I don't feel like looking it up, but, I think it's something like 30-7 with Gasol in the lineup. The Lakers are not only playing extremely well, they're also probably the most entertaining team to watch...the fantastic team basketball they're playing, really moving the ball around nicely in the triangle is simply a pleasure to watch.
