I came across Soldier817's thread where, in support of his Milwaukee +5.5 selection over Orlando, he reasoned that "Vegas does NOT LOSE." Several other posters came along with comments about "Vegas", and I couldn't stand it anymore.
We need to find a new term to represent the smartest bookies in the world, because, guys, they sure don't live and work in Las Vegas, Nevada, anymore. You would all be shocked at the current state of sheer cluelessness in this town's sportsbooks today. And they know they're clueless, too, as evidenced by the tiny betting limits. The only sportsbooks that offer large limits are the ones who strictly copy the numbers from Pinnacle.
So what new name can we give to the world's most diabolically clever bookies (the ones that most certainly ARE NOT in Vegas)?
How about the Costa Rica Carpetbaggers? Or the Curacao Carpetbaggers? Let's get some suggestions going, because I'm sick of guys still giving "Vegas" undue respect when I know for a fact that Las Vegas has been regressing in this department for the last 15 years.
It's like saying that George W. Bush is intelligent because he was the President.
