is it me or refs in spurs game calling the shots?

partyboy. the refs took 10 minutes to take a 10 second call. They looked for any angle that could justify the 3 bomb. but the case was air tight.

generally they cant fix such an obvious call. Where the refs yield their power are in the subjective calls like fouls, 3 second violations, travel calls, out of bounds calls.

in this case. the game was completely fixed. how was neal able get get off a couple steps, a dribble, & a shot in 1.7 seconds? clock operator took his time starting the clock.

Theres so much that has to go into all these fixes you guys speak of. One minute its the refs, next min its the players, the next min its the coaches. I mean some of you guys say "Stern called in at halftime"

What I was pointing out is,refs not receiving direct calls from stern for god's sake,a child would laugh at that,and many here,i'm sure making those threads without believing,maybe for venting,maybe for fun,who knows.

Maybe 2% of the games are "fixed",maybe 1% maybe 1 out of 200,who knows.Those referees favor some teams at different situations.Not because they were directly asked to do,but they know nba would make more money,or maybe they would officiate more games,or the owner of the other team has a beef with nba or certain referees.whatever reason you name it.

I watch a lot of games as a fan,trust me,there are some games,just watch it,you would be sure there's some other reasons to whistle calls just one way

i think baseball is tough to "fix",maybe umpire intentionally not calling strikes and making sure bases load up most time for the over,or calling base runners safe etc. only way i could see is "prop bets" but those guys make millions a year,they wouldn't give a fuck to that money,having said that,wasn't rays pitcher caught shoplifting t shirts weeks ago

no. the refs don't call david stern. they call stu jackson. thats who was on the batphone those 10 minutes. they conferenced in the editing dept who said they couldnt airbrush floor space into ginoblis feet in time. so after 10 minutes, they called it a 2.

Yeah I just think a lot of the times the refs just get caught up in the moment so to speak. They know who needs to win the games and who's on a run and such and I think just human nature comes into play, kinda like home teams always get more calls than road teams it seems just cuz of the environment.

I just dont think David Stern has ever told a referee to do a certain thing favoring a team, ie rigging a game or series. Maybe you and I are arguing different arguments but guys like this sharpbettor dude is on here nightly crying rigged and its just ridiculous.

If people said some Div 1 NCAAB referee that makes $100/game was "gotten to" and rigged a game, I wouldnt doubt it. But if you tell me the final four is rigged or that the NBA playoffs are rigged Id think you were crazy. Theres never been a "Jose Canseco" of sorts in the NBA thats even suggested this kinda crap. Yeah theres donaghy but that guy was working on his own at whatever he was doing. My point is I dont think the games are rigged, and even if some are its the games noone cares about (reg season matchup between Sac/Cle, mcneese st/toledo), not the most magnified games of the season that literally 100s of countries are watching.
