Don't have a read/play on this game, but think the angle isn't as strong as you would like to believe it is.
You could use the exact same angle as you did for the Knicks, but apply it for Lin.

I'm going to go ahead and say Toney Douglas will be a larger factor for the Knicks to worry about tonight.
But to criticize your thinking - you may not be accounting for the fact the Lin may want to prove himself tonight since the Knicks let him go. I am not a fan of his or anything, nor do I think he is very good - but we will never know when or if he will start to play his contract's worth. If I could guess and say Lin would want to go off against any team it'd be the Knicks tonight. Does that mean he will? Probably not, there are much better players on the Rockets for the Knicks to be worried about.
However, I still like the Knicks for the game - not even to play it, but I think they have a slightly better than even shot at covering the spread.
I have (and probably others as well) have made the mistake on betting against Houston this year and I would like to set this one out until I get a better feel for them. Houston by far is one of the most unpredictable teams in the league as far as performance goes and some of that can be attributed to scheduling and lack of a head coach.
GL on the Knicks - however usually when the oldest teams in the league travel to play one of the youngest teams on the road - the younger one usually wants to outrun them in transition. It'll be an interesting game for sure.
