investment banking. What has living in the philippines got to do with someone betting big or small?
My point about living in the Philippines, is I cant imagine you get a chance to watch many games, read/hear the local team information and other common handicapping means. Its no slam by any means. You have been great, its just surprising how well you can predict the NBA! Keep it up.

Nice, Duy! I do investment banking as well. Are you a senior banker? I'm an Associate at a boutique here in California. You work for any firm I would've heard of?

dont' answer these CIA questions DuY. they made you forget your JAZ pick.
who cares what you do for a living. it's anonymous here. like AA.
I certainly dont work for the CIA, however, I was curious to see what type of position one needs to aspire to employ in order to put down that amount of cash on sports games. I wish I could! If I could make $35K in 2 weeks, I wouldnt have to work!

gotta love the internet. I have most nba broadband games for free.
As for betting big, I started small like everyone else. I just did'nt keep the money, I rolled it over season after season. I still remeber those days that I bet $20 and I'm shitting bricks.

For some reason I thought you'd be into investment banking too. I got an investment banking position at Merrill Lynch, but I decided to get into real estate finance.
Thing with investment banking here, with the hours I'd have to work I'd never be able to bet.

yeah. i'm with Merrill Lynch here in new york. our entire floor of fixed income traders are getting pink slipped on friday so a lot of our guys are trying to save their jobs by putting bond money into off shore books on select nba games. your advice DuY given to our traders is making huge gains for our institutional team which in turn is counteracting the negative effect of our sub-prime group. technically DuY you are saving the U.S. financial sector with your picks that are winning vast sums of positive cash flow for this badly damaged investment banking firm. i didn't want to out myself until now. call my office anyday eastern time and ask for John Thain.

Well... I played all the favourites. Posted the hornets.
Have a pretty big parlay I played last night with Memphis, Utah, Charlotte and Denver Broncos all to cover. Luckily the Hornets were off the board last night, otherwise I probably would've put them on.
Anyways, moving onto tomorrow, I really like the Lakers and Spurs. Quite likely big plays for me.
What do you think?

hahaha. I used to bank with Merrill, but decided the private bankers there are just too aggressive sellers, calling me a lot, disturbing my quality time with NBA.
