So true about KG but in fairness Wally World really should have wised up the minute he stepped on KG's court.  Wally came into the league a very cocky and arrogant baller.  He was a very good pure shooter and some decent low post moves.  But he tried to be the leader of the pack when everyone knew like it or not KG is the man.  Moreover, I remember one game where KG and Wally were feuding all game long and KG refused to pass the ball to Wally than Wally stole the ball from KG when he was pushing the ball up court and shot a wild three.

I know the above adds credance to what you said in terms of allowing a player to run the show.  But just reminded me of all those Wally and KG episodes.  I always loved to hear KG try to tell the media how Wally and him were good buds off the court but they are just "warriors" on the court and sometimes their competitive juices get the best of them.  Sure KG!

My initial response was just to illustrate that the Gilbert is crying like a baby.

Free agents have the right to move on to another team just like owners have the right to trade their assets (unless restricted by contract) to another team and not even alert their property with any kind of courtesy.

Could LBJ had handled that differently?   Absolutely.

But everyone knew LBJ was holding this close to the vest and only a handful (according to LBJ you can count on one hand how many folks knew his decision) that he was going to Miami.

Had the Cavs known, they would of released the info to the public and their would have been no secret...no announcement....no LBJ moment.....no money raised for charity.

LBJ had the privilige to do this since he was an unrestricted free agent.

Now what Gilbert did afterwards with his tantrum - classless rant --- will not be a ringing ensorement for other players to go to Cleveland.

I agree LeBron should have done it in a better way but listening to Gilbert rant and rave about loyalty is funny to me.  I heard someone on "The Herd" today ask the question if Buss wanted to trade cities with Gilbert you think he would still be worried about anyone in Cleveland?

I understand being pissed off but for an owner to act like this speaks alot about him.  He was trying to defect blame for this train wreck from himself and if anything IMO he makes LeBron look better.
