I'm sure the bat meat from Wuhan, China is delicious but that's likely the source of the virus.

Hopefully, we would have already been practising good hygiene, but more people would have to make this a daily event in their lives. Posters are being placed at strategic locations on properties reminding staff to follow hygiene practices.

Some of the new practices will work for the good and may be with us long after the virus has gone, including a new relationship between companies and their staff. Welcome to the new reality.

Hopefully the truth is, though, a lot of people don't wash their hands and practice as much personal hygiene as they're supposed to. And that's a major problem. People seem to underestimate the power of such stuff even though we could literally be wiped out by something so small yet so dangerous ( not talking about the virus, but in general).

Your death rate is 25% so I disagree 100%. We will be fine even though we have a retard as president but we have had them before like W and Wilson. This may be a blessing for all the gambling degenerates to get on with life and maybe never come back.

Keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, then to open it and remove all doubt. You’re the snowflake. This is a hyped up train that will crash soon enough. Media lives rent free in your head.

Death rate is far lower than anything posted since it uses only confirmed cases. Anyone under 60 that gets it, and even a good percentage of those over 60 that gets it will have the same conditions as a common cold, and most of us don't go get tested when we have a fever and a cough. There could be millions of Chinese or 100s of thousands of Italians that have the virus and we'll never know. Protecting those over 60 is wise, but this is kind of a pansy virus for most of us and hella overreaction of a thread.

Yeah its only pansy until you get it and have to go to the hospital or be quarantined...Even if it does not affect you you can carry it and spread it to your friends or family that are over 60 or have underlying diseases.

Being quarantined has nothing to do with the seriousness of the effects. And I already mentioned it's fine with the steps they are taking to protect those over 60. Not sure you even read my comment.

I read your comment...The being over 60 is a myth....There are numerous reports of people in their 40's dying...The flu virus at least there is a vaccine for it...This virus there none....Do you know how many people over 50 in the US population or world wide...Imagine they get severely sick and die or can't work...It affects everyone as a snow ball effect.  You can't just think of it health wise but economies will crash...

Stop. Over 16,000 people have died from the flu in the US already this year. The virus is not strong. That's all I'm saying. Protecting those that can't handle getting sick is wise. Not sure what else to say.

Where I'm from in Canada we are now seeing the numbers rise. Six days ago no one, now today, March 13 we have 29, all travel related. So far no "community " cases. It is only a matter of time before we have our first case of someone that didn't travel. I know for sure that people are going to die from this, just like people die during flu season every year. I also know that there are people working very hard to combat this, here in Canada and the US and around the world. We will persevere, we always do. Yes we will lose a lot of life, the old and sick and sadly young healthy people as well. The number of 250,000 dead in less than two months seems to be coming from someone that watches too much TV and movies or is just trying to insight fear or instigate  an argument in this forum.
