the 1st counter intuitive idea that I liken to betting NBA, they are stopping testing in LA and NY...at first this would seem not the right thing to do as "everyone wants to get tested" but it makes sense to me in not using resources to spend time, supplies testing everyone that most won't be sick and it keeps people at home instead of going out in public to be tested....it focuses scarce resources and time to those most in need and more importantly saves tests for the front line doctors and nurses and emts that need to know if they are sick after working a long shift before they go home to their family...outside the box is how you win

Today we continued our discussion from last week re: the Coronavirus and Trump’s anemic and failed response to it. We listened to sound clips from both experts in the field who know what they were talking about – and then from Donald Trump, who always shows he has no clue what he’s talking about. We also looked at some of the lies Trump’s state run propaganda media are telling to defend Trump’s complete incompetence and unfitness.

This was our first time doing the show from home today. We tried to catch up on all Trump’s Coronavirus lies from this week, including his claims that a) the stores are open 24/7 – when we know that some are closed and some have changed their hours; and b) that the shelves are stocked and there are no shortages – when anyone who’s been to a store knows he’s lying. We also made the case that Trump has put American lives in danger with his lies and nonchalant approach to this crisis. And yet? His brain dead base still doesn’t care. We also debunked some of the lies and false equivalences Trump’s state run propaganda media are using to try and make Trump not look like the failure he is.
Start your own thread and post all the political nonsense you want...you probably were calling Trump a xenophobe when he closed his borders from China before anyone else did...instead of blaming Trump, where is your blame for Xi and China's attempt to cover this entire outbreak from the world? Why arent you mad at China for not giving world leaders a head start to get their hospitals ready?

Everything that stone cold sociopath has said or done has been about himself and his re-election. He is suppose to be a leader.
He was the one who disbanded the White House pandemic response team and gutted the CDC, claiming “who could have known?”
He was asked, “Are there worries about a pandemic at this point?” The president responded: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”
He was the one, along with his state run media (fox noise) who cried “hoax” at his KKK rallies.
He is the who keep FN repeating “it was an unprecedented action I took.” The travel ban, which didn’t start until February) from China (did not ban Chineses people, only people who traveled from there) was basically meaningless. The virus was already here and elsewhere in the world, it perhaps bought us a few days that the liar and chief squandered immediately, trying to put himself in the best light while explaining only he could come up with this unprecedented move.
He faced a series of choices. He could have taken aggressive measures to slow the spread of the virus. He could have insisted that the United States ramp up efforts to produce test kits. He could have emphasized the risks that the virus presented and urged Americans to take precautions if they had reason to believe they were sick. He could have used the powers of the presidency to reduce the number of people who would ultimately get sick. What did he do, he down played the virus making it sound like a minor nuisance. He was exaggerating his administration’s response, blaming foreigners and the Obama administration. He was claiming incorrectly that the situation was improving, trying to cheer up stock market investors. He know nothing about science or medicine but telling people about his ”gut” says about possible medicines that could possibly help or kill you according to doctors.
He was suppose to be a leader not a blamer! At least we have President Pence.

As for the WHO, their input is a good thing, sharing info and science is good, but the United States should and always be the leader for ourselves and the world.
