swtdreamer, Since you mention about 2nd half play, please notice 1st H total points below 80. If this scenario happens, the 2nd half hits OVER most of the time. I don't track the percentage but it's very highly hit. There is one example today which is SA vs MIA game. Look at 2nd half points. OVER 93.5 hits . Good luck.

Thanks ChuyenTinh; One thing I noticed if 1st half is lower than the point given of 5-10 points and if the 2half totals points set at the same as first half then it will be under but if they set it up higher it will be over. For Example,
Sa/Mia 1st half 86.5 is the total set at and the result was 78points which is about 8.5 point below the mark.
2nd half they set the total o/u at 94.5 which is 8 points different or higher than the 86.5 (some books were at 86)
Therefore the oddmakers realized the differences of points that need to be taken care of to still keep the game under but OVER for the second half. Over was the right place. But IF the second half was set at 86.5 or lower yesterday then we would of play UNDER.
Another example would be Sac/NJ. Total for the game was 202 and 1st set at 102 but result for first half was 98pts. Which is 2 points under the 102 mark was given. Second half they set the point at 101 (some books had it at 101.5). Which is 1 point less than the first half 102 point given so we Know that UNDER is the right play. If they intended for the game to go over they would of have the points set at 99 or 100 then we would of play OVER.
Hope you understand what I am pointing at. We will discuss at half time today and I will post some of the 1st half games for us to look at. I will start a thread on that.

Hey swtdreammer, so you are saying if the 1st half does not cover the over, the second half will.. Or u have to look at the point differential at halftime O/U like u explained above.. Like Nuggets game 1st half went over, but 2nd half went under

You have to look at the point different and the where the line set is at. Cannot just automatically pick the over because first half was under. Den/Ind second half played UNDER 109.5 (some books at 110). Here is why:
Total for game was 221 if divided by 2 it will be 110.5
First half line 112 result was 144points (just a guessing that they probably want it to be over they would not given you a free 1.5 point to make you play under)
Second Half line 109.5 the different between is 1 point. Since they already know that they placed it a little higher than the supposed to be line of 110.5 for first half. They should add on that 1 point or keep the same line as first half and not reducing it. You suppose to keep the first half and second half as equal or balance them out so that they add up to be the TOTAL for the game. If they set the second half as 112 or at least 110.5 then I will play the Over.
These stuffs are so complicated, sometimes it almost only make sense to me and not others. BOL
