It says Igawa but that can't be Kei. This guy is now at 7 innings of 4 hit no run ball.

Agreed...the only fond moment I remember from Igawa is when he pitched a great game against the Red Sox after Lugo smashed the 2nd pitch off of Rasner's leg and shattered his shin. Since then the only thing he was good at was facing the Red Sox in Triple-A. As for Gardner, he has been beyond impressive and is winning the battle between him and Melky by a large margin. If he doesn't get the nod, Girardi isn't watching the right game.

Igawa has been very very impressive so far this spring , i cant believe im saying that but its a fact. He had a very solid year in Triple A and his success ,or lack of it, comes down to one simple thing...his ability to throw strikes.
When he was in the bigs he was afraid to pitch to contact, just like Ian Kennedy, and he found himself constantly in hitters counts. Elite pitchers cant pitch that way and guys w/ mediocre stuff get burried pitching that way. Last year in the minors he improved his control and has continued that this spring, the few times ive seen him he was razor sharp constantly throwing strikes and pitching out in front. It remains to be seen if he can continue this but he is clearly the best suprise in camp.
Dice K was sensational yesterday and he could be set for a monster year.
