Washington Nationals +144
Nationals/Reds Over 9 -120
Lodolo has only made one start this season, and it wasn't exactly great. 4 ER in 5 IP, with 2 Ks and 2 HRs allowed. This Washington team may not have a great staff, but they will put runs up in a hurry, and they are mashing lefties. The Reds offense hasn't been great, but neither has Jake Irvin really. But its the Reds bullpen that is going to get us home on both of these. They are terrible and they used just about every arm they have down there last night, and they got thumped. Wind is blowing out to center in this little league park too.
Philadelphia Phillies +114
The offense still hasn't really found its groove, but they are starting to find ways to win games. They have to be up there with the Mets as the biggest dissappointment in April, but they have turned things around under Mattingly. Boston doesn't have anything that strikes fear in me, and I know Painter has been pretty bad, but there isn't a bat in this line up that has seen him. So if he can get through the order twice without much harm, this is a very live dog.
Tampa Bay Rays +124
Cease is coming off a 10K, 0 BB, 0 ER outting, but it was vs the Angels. This Tampa offense is quite a bit better. They are the hardest line up in all of baseball to strike out. They put the ball in play and good things happen when you can do that. Last nights loss had to be pretty deflating too for the Jays. Fought all the way back from down 5 in the 7th, got it to extras, and just couldn't get it done. Their offense stinks.
Atlanta Braves +116
Richie has been plenty good for me to take the Braves as dogs at home here. The Cubs are going with Imanaga, but the Braves are 5th best in the league in OPS vs LHP. I favor the Braves line up, and most of all, their bullpen, over the Cubs. The baby bears have lost three straight, and have run out of arms to use after their starters.
Mariners/Astros Over 9 -115
McCullers has been bad all year long, and his consistency is appreciated. Miller hasn't pitched since last year, so I'd imagine we see a little rust, and he doesn't have his A stuff tonight. Both offense are capable, and the Ms got hot last night, lets hope they can keep the momentum going. Stupid ballpark too.
St. Louis Cardinals +128
Ginn was awesome his last time out, but I think that favors the Cards tonight. It's hard to put excellent starts back to back, especially in this ballpark. Liberatore faced damn near this exact line up last year, and shut them out with 10Ks, in a 5-1 STL win. A's are 22nd in the league in OPS vs LHP. Cards bats are feeling good, I have no problem taking them as a dog in this one.
