POD # 1 - ORIOLES UNDER 7 -114 - 12.5 UNITS - BOOKMAKER
Corbin Burnes ended the season on a strong note throwing
19 innings against 2 playoffs teams in the yankees and Tigers
and allowing 7 hits and 1 run while striking out 24 and walking 5.
This is exactly why the Orioles traded for him in the offseason and
the expectation is he is gonna go out there tomorrow balls out and
give the orioles 6+ strong innings tomorrow leaving it all out there
on the field. Royals have not been the same lineup without pasquantino
and despite some good success against Burnes i don't expect that
to carry over here. Ragans goes for Royals and he pitched very well
in his start at Camden Yards this year throwing 6.1 innings and allowing
0 runs and 1 hit with 7 strikeouts. He did get bombed by Orioles at home
but Orioles haven't been that team in the latter part of the season and i expect
Ragans will pitch more like he did in his last 4 starts where he threw 25 innings
allowing 3 runs and 14 hits with 26 strikeouts 9 walks and 1 hr allowed. He allowed
1 run or less in 3 of his last 4 starts. Burnes allowed 1 earned run or less in 4 of
his last 5 starts. Give me under 7 in game 1.
