I think Albernaz is putting all the starters names in a hat and pulling them out to figure out the line up. But, whatever works, they just took 3 of 4 from division leader Tampa Bay. They are swinging the bats right now, and no one loves to hear that more than Shane Baz. His guys just don't score for him when he pitches well. Lets hope that changes today. The Yankees are continuing to struggle offensively. I think I saw they are last in the league since June 1st. Ouch. And now Freid is headed to the IL for what could be months. The sky is falling in the Bronx.
St. Louis Cardinals -112
Kyle Leahy has been excellent since the break. This Reds team has seen him three times already this year, with each start being better than the last. They have been striking out a TON as of late, and Leahy has games of 8 and 9 Ks vs them already this year. Abbott has had a rough August so far, giving up 11 ER in 16 IP, and I like the Cardinals offense better than that of Cincy right now. It's worth noting that since Joshua Baez 3 HR in his first 3 ABs he's 0-15.
San Diego Padres -110
We should have won this one last night. Having 3 guys thrown out at home is the ultimate sign that the baseball gods just have to bring you down a peg. Brutal. Thornton is hittable, and Ray+Friar bullpen gives me far more confidence in a coin flip.
Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 +130
Still fading the Ms despite their little outburst in Houston over the weekend. They are terrible vs LHP and Harrison is a really good one. I can't think of anyone that has more success in their home ballpark than Milwaukee too. Better line up, starter and pen, back at home.
