I actually think it's a good price for Wells at home. Especially against Bush. Bush can be a gas can and if I had to take a guess...I'd guess he'd have a poor outing today. Last season he had a 6.79 ERA on the road and a 5.51 ERA in day games. And in 1 start at Wrigley last season...he gave up 4 runs in 5.2 innings. I think the Cubs would be the right side here as well as the over. ![]()

That's covers for ya. But so far my thread has been good except for 1 minor problem. But I'm happy that we have more mature people on here than vice virsa. ![]()

You...me...and everyone else on this forum thought that too. I have to thank Curtis Granderson though for getting that insurance run in the 8th to keep the runline a winner. Nobody mentions that one. ![]()
I completely understand where you're coming from with the Twins...but Lackey is an ace on any other team. To get him at this price would be like getting Lincecum and Felx at their prices on opening day. He's also a stopper and I think the Red Sox finally play with a little bit of motivation maybe after possibly catching the Yankees' ring ceremony (or replays of it). I'm sure they caught some part of it throughout the day and it will probabl bring them some added incentive. Lackey will do what he does...it's all about will the Red Sox score on Slowey. And I think they do.

Good write ups Sparky......
4 out of the last 5 KC Det games have flown well over.......Does this continue? I dont think so
That's fine...it'll hit 10. It doesn't ahve to "fly over". ![]()

8-10 games per day and taking all dogs across the board. Pure definition of grinding out the season because thats what a 50% handicapper does. A 389-395 record in August still equates to a winning season when you value-bet.
I don't think many really appreciate GH's method because its the same thing everyday -- slim faves and take as many underdogs as you can. And take the same road dog in a series until they win.
Lurkers look through threads to find winners. In GH's thread, a lurker have to do a lot of filtering because he plays so many games per day, with indistinguishable units.
Much easier to filter estes' plays, i think.
Anyways.
Bos/Minny - Kevin Slowey doesn't seem to be a good day-time pitcher.
I agree. The plays don't look flashy...but all that matters is that plus sign at the end of the season. And it WILL be there.

I'm not going to lay $600 on a -1.5 to save juice,i'll just take my $300 profit.Too many games end up being 1 run games in MLB.

Nice work Sparky like to read your stuff to validate my plays. Been riding the Cards, what a great power punch with Pujols and Holliday.
Picked out a couple others if you care to comment: the OV (8) in the AZ/LA game both teams almost .300 against R........ and S Fran team total.. whatever it is with SF hitting the righties and
Morton (a gas can). SF off the beat yest still scored five against a decent starter.
BOL TO YOU ![]()
Lopez was impressive in his first game...however...I don't really think that continues. As for Billingsley...I took him in his last start and like I said then...I really think he'll have a bonuce back season this year. And aside from Jackson and Young...nobody on the DBacks hit him well. I was leaning towards the Dodgers but the line was just too high to support. Billingsley can either shut out the DBacks or give up 2-3 runs...but I don't expect any more than that. As for Lopez...I really don't know what to expect. The Dodgers' lineup is solid, and they "could" hammer him for 5-6 runs, but I need to see a few more starts from Lopez to really figure him out and to see if he's turned the corner or not.
As much f a gas can Morten is...the TT that I have is 4.5 and asking for 5 runs, frmo the Giants, at AT&T is just way too much to ask for. I could never place that bet and be confident with it. I would feel more confident with the over 8.5 to be honest. Sorry...but that's all I got on that one. ![]()

Yea...it was tough. But at least it wasn't stuck on 3 and then they scored 1 in the 9th. That would have been worst. I rather lose by 3 than 1.
I understand people not trusting Penny...but I think, now being back in the NL, he's good to go. I think Richard will fair well...but Hanson probably will too. Not so sure about the TT though. I think under for the game would probably be the best bet imo. ![]()
