Here's a post within my writeup yesterday for the Yankees' game.
Now...I want to do a little test here. If you have actually read this writeup, please post a "wink" emoticon in your response. I'm curious to see how many people actually read and how many just say "nice writeup, keep up the great work".
Needless to say...many people failed the test.
But...there were a lot more people winking than I had expected.

If he was so great,he'd be favored and not a dog at home.
Odds makers will soon realize the Twins are no joke this year, but early in the season I'll be dammed to see the BOSTON REDSOX dogs against our small market Twins no matter who is on the mound.

still winking! keep it up. personally I would take Minny but I won't just because of the fact they won game 1.
for the over...look at CWS vs TOR ov 8.5. Two horrible pitchers with WHIP above Frasor's #. Well maybe not that bad, but it is bad. I see the Sox trying to put up some runs tomorrow and Jays continue to have the hot bat. 8.5 should sail over...
ML bet...TX with CJ Wilson on the toe. Wilson showed good stuff in Spring and his opener. I will take the hot pitcher and hot bat of Nelson Cruz to deliver a win for TX at a short price the odds maker gave us.
Throw in a half unit on the Nats...this will be their best shot of taking one game in Philly....no Rollins so maybe Philly offense slows down a bit...
best to you Sparks!
I can't take a Chi.Sox over because their offense is just too weak. Scoring 8 the other night was a fluke. I don't trust them just yet. And I certainly can't say there are 2 terrible pitchers. Floyd is actually really good. He's much better at home...but he's not terrible on the road. And Morrow isn't bad either. He had a really bad start...but I think he could get his confidence up while facing this poor offense the Sox have.
I have CJ Wilson on my fantasy team. I hope he throws up some more zeros and Ks. That would make me very happy. I like the Rangers too but I'd like to see how Wilson fairs on the road before I start betting on him. This line seems too low imo...I don't really understand why.
And finally...agree with the Nats. They are solid against Kendrick as they dominated him the last time they met and overall. I think the over may be the play here. I was leaning towards that but I backed away. I don't trust it for some reason.

Kevin Slowey is BEAST! Much better now after the surgery last year. Great Spring, allowed LAA to 1 ER (ok I thought Anaheim would be better then they are) while getting 10 runs of support in first start. I'll take the + money. Leaning on the over too. I feel some long balls during the day game, but still dont know how Target Field will play into the hitters yet.
I think Slowey is good too...but I still think the Red Sox get the best of him here. And I too am very curious to see how Target Field will play for the hitters within the next month.

Good luck tomorrow today Sparky. Keep up the good work and thanks for always posting early Gives me some good info to look at and try to figure out my plays if I'm up late.

I think the Odds makers are well aware at how good the Twins are. But you're right...the Sox won't be dogged to a name like Slowey this early in the season. Maybe if Wakefield or Buchholz was on the mound...but not Lackey...that's for sure.
