The stock market is closed today, and I’ve got a three-day weekend. Feels like the perfect day for some baseball action.

Ben Brown is the Cubs best pitcher, that doesn't say much overall as the Cubs starting staff has been a dumpster fire as a whole. But he has been pitching at an elite level. I don't think my eyes are that bad as I watch more Cubs than any other team. With zero bias as a fan.

His last 4 starts have been superb. 

Gausman's name alone probably carries more weight to the market than how he's been pitching this year. The dude has been good, but seems to lose gas after the 4th/5th innings. 

His historical #'s vs this Cubs lineup have been really good.

Wind blowing in from left center to the 1st base line at 9.2 mph at Wrigley today.

Both pitchers are ground ballers, Ben Brown is heavier than Gausman in that department. 

Cubs vs ground ballers #1 in the mlb, 129 sOPS+

Jays vs ground ballers #20 in mlb, 97 sOPS+

A total of 7 at Wrigley is usually telling, over bettors beware.

His ERA over his last nine starts is 10.05. I'm thinking of creating a new rule for baseball bettors. Trust no starter whose ERA is over 10.00 over his previous nine starts.

 Played Cubs first 5 on Kalshi.  Better pitcher.  I don’t have to drive to Illinois to wager anymore!
