Tigers/White Sox Under 7.5 -105
The Tigers offense stinks, and they are down some starters as well, so I don't expect much from them, especially with a lefty on the hill for the Sox. The pale hose are also going to be without a couple starters this afternoon, with Murakami being the most notable absence. Valdez can be very good, and Kay has been great his first MLB season as a starter. Heavy winds blowing in from left as well helping the cause with lots of righties in the line ups to counter the two lefties.
San Diego Padres -1.5 +136
Washingtons offense has been great, but they can't pitch worth a damn. The Friars are throwing their best in King, and we know that their pen is loaded. They are 16-8 on the road, and Washington really struggles at home, going 10-17. Being the away team, we get the guaranteed 27 outs, which is always nice when playing the RL. Tatis is going to hit a HR tonight too.
Toronto Blue Jays -122
The Jays have won 3 straight, 1 run games. This could be the turning point in their season. Winning 8 of their last 10 now, the pitching has been rock solid. Yesevage got dinged up his last time out, but prior to that he was very good. Baltimores offense has shown signs of life lately, but I fear their pen is too bad to overcome. Young has been good, but wild, and the Jays can make the walks count.
Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 +150
At this number, I have no choice. The way they manufacture runs, the Rays are great against the RL. Everyone is in the line up so all systems go for me.
Milwaukee Brewers -112
I haven't seen a Crew line up yet, but I wouldn't foresee anyone getting the day off today. Win today, get the day off tomorrow I'd think. Sproat has been the weak link in the Crews rotation, but the top of their order is as good as any with Turang, Chourio, Yelich and Bauers. With Houstons bullpen issues, no lead is safe. At the short number, the Brewers are well worth the limited risk.
