Picking against the Phillies doesnt make a whole lot of sense. The only advantage the Dodgers have is in the bullpen, but they have that edge on everyone. The starting rotations are not close, the Phils lineup is much better, and they are the defending champs, and they destroyed the Dodgers in the NLCS last year.

Lets take a closer look and start with the starting rotation, Phils dominates LA pitching??? That is flawed in my opinion. Besides Lee there is no one dominating. Hamels? Pedro? Blanton? lol That is not what I call dominating. I been watching Happ this year and he has made me a lot of money but the way he pitched the relief and last night I don't know. Granted LA does not have an ace but our pitchers are solid with Wolf and Kershaw. Padilla was a suprise in game 3 against the Cardinals. We also have Billingsly in the wings.
Offense, the edge definitely to Phillies but I do like the fact that we picked up Belliard this year, not a great hitter statistically but the man is CLUTCH.
Relief and bullepen you know where that edge goes to and this year and I love the fact we picked up Sherrill, however the Phils bullpen are but a skeleton of what they were last year. When Charlie Manuel is sending in two starting pitchers Happ and Blanton to relief pitch in one game that tells you the confidence he has in the pen. And the way Lidge closed out last nights game was
Oh and did I forget to mention WE have home field advantage this year? So lets do a quick recap.

Starting pitching even is comical.
You say all we have is Lee. You guys have nothing.
Hamels, our clear cut second, is better than any one of your starters and absolutely kills the Dodgers.
Blanton, Pedro and Happ have been consistent all year.
You guys have ZERO consistency in your rotation.

Hamels has been far from impressive. Wolf could go head to head with him.
Lee is dominant...nothing around that...but Kershaw is pretty good in his own right.
Wolf and Kershaw...2 lefties v the Phillies is a problem.
As noted...big advantage for the Dodgers bullpen.
Manny, Ethier, Kemp, Hudson, Blake, Furcal...thats not that bad of a lineup.
And didn't the Cardinals have a "HUGE" starting pitching advantage over the Dodgers? I'm just saying.

Lol Stuckey reading your remarks tells what an _ _ _ _ _ you are. My answer was to what Zagsa said that Phillies DOMINATE LA pitching which is false and I gave my opinion. It's not like you have a Carpenter and Wainwright starting combo 1-2 punch..... but I bet u wish u did. And again genius, Lee is the only dominate pitcher in your staff, a true ace. Your other starters as I've stated are not dominant. Happ is good but who in your staff in the playoffs besides Lee has been dominant? Uh yeah.

Utley is better against lefties (.288 compared to .279 vs righties)
Werth KILLS lefties (.302 compared to .256)
Ibanez is better against lefties (.285 compared to .267)
Victorino smokes lefties (.314 vs .280)
Ruiz is much better against lefties too (.293 to .242)
5 of our 8 are better against lefties. Also got Francisco in the Lee deal to bring pop off the bench against lefties in late game situations
Howard struggles, but he is smoking everything right now. He couldn't hit a lefty to save his life in the first half.
Rollins and Feliz are better against righties
Just because Utley and Ibanez are lefties, doesn't mean they can't hit them. In fact, theyre better against lefties. Add that to two of the better hitters in the league against lefties (Vic and Werth) and I'd say that's not much of a problem.

I like Dodgers in six:
Reasons why:
1. Starting pitching is in Dodgers favor and bullpen has been dominant. Padilla,garland and billingsley are solid and can eat innings to get to bullpen. Happ is very green and though he pitched well overall this season he did look good at all last night.
2. Hitting - Yeah we all know phillies can hit and steal some bases. But they can't hit for average and can be shut down when pitchers can hit their spots. Also the phillies don't hit as well against left handers as righties. Could be big advantage Dodgers with 2 top lefties.
3. Bench - I think this gets left out of the equation quite a bit but the dodgers have 3 decent players off the bench in pierre, thome and hudson. Stairs is good , but dobbs is awful.
4. Manager - Torre over manuel -
Will Manny hit like he did in the first of the year? If he does no doubt Dodgers win however, if he doesn't phils can win this.

The Dodgers are trotting out Phils REJECTS Randy Wolf and Vicente Padilla has 2 of their top 3 starters. These guys couldnt even stick with the Phillies when the Phils sucked. Then Wolf couldnt stick with the Padres. Or the Astros. Then Padilla gets dumped by the pitching starved Rangers.
There is no way the magic ride is gonna continue for those guys. Wolf was brutal in his one start and will be lucky to see the 5th inning. I have no idea how Padilla is doing it right now but let's see how he does vs all the Phils lefties: Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Ibanez.

I filled in the blank. 
I can't talk because I am too...just pointing that out. However...I give credit where credit is due.
Dodgers didn't have Kershaw in the postseason rotation last season.
Dodgers didn't have Wolf last season.
Phillies bullpen was much better than the Dodgers' last season. That has now changed.
Kershaw can go head to head with Lee any day of the week. And, being a lefty, will probably dominate that lineup.
Like I mentioned...Wolf(as a lefty) will probably face off against Hamels(who has been garbage). and the advantage, with the Dodgers at home, will obviously go to the Dodgers.
Padilla has pitched well as a Dodger. Do the Phillies even know who they're starting Games 3 and 4?
Dodgers shall win this series because the Phillies are not better than they are. At the worst...it's evenly matched.

Hey Sparky your Yankees are looking good and with A-Rod finally breaking out in the postseason not like in the past. A lot changing this year, Angels finally beating Boston. Worried to see your team if they make the WS as it's hard to keep your homerun happy offense in check haha Your starting pitching looked good too in the first series. At least if Angels win home field advantage is negated but wow the TV ratings would be off the hook in a Dodgers vs Yanks series.

Garland and Billingsley are solid? Since WHEN? The DBacks dumped Garland like a piece of trash and Billingsley has been a trainwreck in the last month. I'm sure they suffice against the stinkin Padres and Giants' putrid offenses. This aint the Padres or Giants. Not even close.

I agree with your stats however you forgot to include the HR totals aginst LHP vs. RHP
68 vs 156 whcih equates to 30% of total not good when you depend on HR to manufactuer your runs. Since the Phils can't hit for average overall .258 for the year 10th in the league might be a small issue.
