Beckett likes to get off to slow starts, pitch himself into trouble and is showing signs that he has to be on the decline. Lincecum is dealing with his struggles as well. Hoping for some crooked numbers.

Buchholz has looked good in the spring, solid from stretch now. Looks stronger, another Boston starter that could have a bounce back year. I like this against a Yankee lineup that can't hit with RISP lately. Edge to Boston's lineup and bullpen. They can actually get it done now. I like it as slight dog.

This is partly a Halladay fade to start the season. Doc's been leaving balls up in the zone, 88-91 velocity. The guy is a warrior and I expect he heats up a some point, but I am anticipating he makes a few mistakes tonight. Edge to Braves' lineup and bullpen, as well as a strong lefty against a Phillies lineup that can struggle against lefties. I will play the run line for value.

Nationals seems like it'd be one of those consensus plays..Nats have been covering -1.5 with sub par offense so far and zimmerman is not a step below Gio and Strasburg in my opinion. One of the most underrated pitchers in the league.. barring a gem from Leblanc i see this one hitting.
Mets i just simply believe i have the better team at home with the better pitcher.. not much better team but like the way their playing right now hitting everything padres throw at them, think they carry the momentum through tomorrow an sweep the padres with ease.
as for the under in this game.. i liked the way Guthrie ended last season.. really turned it around.. also these 2 pitchers have outstanding lifetime #'s vs the opposition..

last 36.1ip vs the royals floyd has given up 11er 28k's in process.. roughly 3.25 era in that span.. respectable..
if both pitches pitch to their recent trends vs these teams that were mostly the same as last season.. then the under 8.5 should be good.
