Dear God's Gift to the Earth,
I wholeheartedly resent this statement as well as many others you have said previously. What I see in you is an egomaniac and an average capper. You have been somewhat successful through one month of a long baseball season. Apart from one good stretch I haven't seen anything special about you. I have been a fairly successful capper over the past 7 years, but have never bet baseball before. I am an NFL guy who paid for his college by betting. As the capper with the lowest profit that regularly posts on here, I would like to challenge you to a contest. I know the point of this forum is to help us better ourselves, but apparently you need no bettering. So go ahead and PM me if you are interested. I suggest a contest to see who can make the most money from this point on (in order to make it fair) for the rest of the season. The winner can receive whatever amount of cash prize at the end of the season via Paypal. If you decide to take me up, please be reasonable with the amount. This is for fun so I would be willing to go anywhere between $100-$500 to reward the winner for the hard work over the long season. You can have your metrics, but metrics alone cannot be successful.

What are you guys' thoughts on a couple lefties I'm looking at today with value?
ARI ML (Miley) at +165 and TOR ML (Romero) also at +165
Arizona looking to sweep 3 vs Dodgers before returning home. Miley has good career splits at Dodger stadium. Faces off vs Kershaw though, and run support will be in short supply.
-LA has 12 runs in 5 games vs ARI this year.
- ARI pitching is 4-1 with a 2.40 era vs LA this year.
Arizona does have 48 strikeouts vs Dodger pitchers in 5 games
Toronto looking to take first 3 of 4 vs Tampa and 4 straight overall. Romero is a year removed from being a reliable start for the jays, but did show signs in his last start of improved control. Romero has good career numbers at the Trop.
-Jays have hit 6 HRs in last 2 games.
Toronto has struck out 20 times last two games.

Im sorry if u guys, feel so offended. But the values here reflect the work doesnt it? Why can't u guys man up and turn it all around? Lets be positive, why take it so wrongly? I apologize again. But it does lack here. How else can we explain the negative producing results..?

Sigh, why take a slight insight in such a negative fashion? Im tryin to inject some life and results here. ive always taken every loss and always to get better analytics from it. Im sorry again GG! We are men, lets grow together and be great. The results here been very bad for a long time now, lets address that, that's bottom line.

Portman-
I love Miley, I really kind of have a man crush on him. The biggest problem that just jumps of the page to me is that Arizona has the 26th ranked lineup against lefties and the Dodgers have the 4th best against lefties. The value would be there is there was a righty going, but with Kershaw expected to go late innings there isn't much value in my opinion.
I don't have as much of an opinion on the Toronto pick. Maybe someone else will have something.

Tizzy- This isn't the first time you have made a backhanded comment. Every other comment is usually something about how you are God's Gift. I would say thank you for the apology, but when you try to apologize and then continue to make backhanded comments in the same post? Ya not gonna get in my good graces. I suggest that you just make your picks reason them with something besides "they have all the metrics" and shut up. It would probably help you out here. Also, I see that you haven't taken me up on my offer so I think that shows your facade here quite nicely. Thanks for showing me the real you.

Going against King Feliz here with a pitcher that has been pitching just as well, but doesn't have the same public support. AJ does two things great, he dominates lefties and strikes people out. Not a lefty dominant lineup, but when you look at the pitching matchup in depth, it is essentially a wash. So would you rather have the Pitt lineup or the Seattle lineup on the road? Thus my pick.
CLE Indians ML -114
Oakland crushes lefties. That is why they are the team with the most runs scored in the league (if that stat is still valid). Well Justin Masterson is one of my favorite righties in the league. The Cleveland lineup on the other hand is very versatile and does every very well except for base running where I wouldn't be surprised if they were last in the league and they strikeout at a faster clip than most.
HOU Astros ML +127
Continuing with my Astros will sweep the Angels theory. I just don't understand how a team can be a decent sized favorite over another team when the Angels have a measly 2 more wins on the season, and have a 4-12 road record. Then LA throws out a guy who couldn't win a AAA game right now and is their worst starter against a guy who had a 1.71 ERA at home last year and is off to that same split with a 2.7 at home this year (over 3.0 better than his road ERA). It just doesn't make sense if you look at the facts and not the names on the jerseys.

Toronto has hit 29 HRS in 21 dome games between Toronto and Tampa. Moore can make that longball mistake. I'd expect Rajai in the lineup over Rasmus. Edge to Jays bullpen. Keep it rolling Jays!
NY Yankees ML +119
Yankees very poor last night. Expecting a bounce back vs Nicasio. Hughes has been great at minimizing that HR pitch this year. His fastball looking good of late. Yankees going to slug the young righty tonight.
ARI Diamondbacks ML +165
Expecting a great start from both hurlers. Like KCFinest said, ARI has failed vs the lefties this year. This could be the shift game they need. LA cannot hit at home. Expecting a toss up 3-2 type game, I will take the great value on Miley.
Going with the road dogs today.

I respect your inputs towards games. You've been dead on a few, also missed a couple by miles. It happens to everyone, but overall, you are sharp and know when to spot a great play, win or lose. Don't let it determine who you are and how you act towards others just because the picks are winning. Be respectful and humble no matter how heavy your purse is. The same way this thread can cut you some slack for your comments, you can cut some slack for those around you struggling thus far. I've had a rough 5 days and it shows on my overall record( 3 run line losses when the ML cashes). It's a long season and I've made leaps from how I've managed my money in NHL thread. Don't break up this thread because of our records

I'm with the on the astros again KCF. liked them -1.5 and ML yesterday, late hr ruined the run line however. Going bud and the first 5inn ML.
Lets get is portman. I almost went adjusted RL yesterday, I did today. I already suffered a brutal loss on Pitt (Seattle had 3 hits and scored 2 runs to win 2-1) I just need something to go my way! Good luck on the other two a lot of scoring early in that Toronto game, I think that helps your chances despite the one run deficit right now. I like that Yankees pick I might jump on it.
