Admittedly, this is a choice of small advantages, but plenty of them, the most important being that deGrom is not the chucker he once was, Vasquez is on the uptick, and the Padres bullpen is a distinct advantage. The Rangers pen has some decent numbers, but the Padres are really solid and fully rested.

FG – Mariners +125  Suarez/Miller

How ironic, or coincidental, that I land on one of America’s most liberal cities vs one of her most bigoted on Juneteenth. Irrelevant, I know, but still, the advantages here are with the Mariners. All five of my most important “elements” are squarely on the Mariners, and I think the Bosox are about to learn the Seattle lesson, just like the Orioles. You simply don’t score a ton of runs in Seattle regardless of how you pounded the East Coast parks. Low scoring games are the rule here, and you want the better bullpen on your side. We do!

 Granted Jump looks good so far, but one hiccup leaves him 2-1 in effective starts. I like a little more track record than that.

 Yeah, Red Sox are weird, but road record has been luck. If you can't hit at Fenway there are probably no good parks for you, certainly not Seattle

 No, I have never been to Boston, and have no desire to go, but as a descendant of Irish Catholics that experienced most and/or all of it, I am well schooled and well educated in the progression of it. I could write a very long essay on the subject, but this is neither the time nor place. Yes, there are still remnants of it present today. Don't let the "elite" and "liberal" views of a few fool you.
