He is right with his statements, but I was never wrong...I understand his logic, but my numbers of value could be completely different then his and he thought my 8% difference was not much, but according to how I cap and figure my mnumbers...this is significant

Personal anecdotal evidence does not beat out statistics. I would give you 10-1 he loses, and I would give 100-1 you dont have a friend who wins - or even better a friend period.
