Betting BIG against the Yankees because I love it when they hurt me

Well, they are 8-1 this season in the second game of a home series after losing the first game, but they're still grossly overpriced at -260.  The Padres, meanwhile, began the year 1-4 in the second game of a road series after winning the first, but they've won their last three tries and are now 4-4 in this situation.  And don't forget that while the Dodgers are a crummy 18-18 in their last 36 games, the Padres are a proud 22-14.

The #1 reason I can't and won't bet on the Yankees is because I REFUSE to be on the same side of any game with the type of bettors who normally bet on teams like the Yankees.

chilitikid, don't bother with rms8325.  He's a pimply-faced kid who's mad at me because I made him look stupid in one of RayzHELL's threads two weeks ago.  He's being a huge baby about it.  I didn't even insult him, I merely corrected something he'd said that was off the mark.

I don't understand that reasoning. I mean sure, in past season's they were fade material(especially last season), but this season is completely different. If they win, it's by more than 1 run. Here is a stat for you. If I'm correct, they are now 33-5 on the runline in their wins since the All-Star break. 3 of those 1 run wins came in the first 2 series' after the break. So if you put it together, since the 2nd game of the 2nd series since the All-Star break, they are on a 32-2 runline tear in their wins. And they win more than they lose so you would make a major profit. You have to put your ego aside on this one and just ride the trend. I see you post stats day in and day out. Well here is the best stat out there. The absolute BEST.

I said "teams like the Yankees", not specifically the 2009 New York Yankees.

Thats the biggest thing of all. Fine...don't bet them. But don't fade them either. Until they lose 3 in a row, it's not right. They've lose 1 series in their last 9 series(Thats including a 4 game series). They want to win every single series the rest of the way(going for that tomorrow). It's just the smart play.

Fine...but it doesn't mean you have to fade them. Wait for the postseason to do that.

Sparky, with the way they're tearing up the regular season this year, they had BETTER NOT (for their own sakes) blow it again in the playoffs!

You're telling me. If they don't at least make it to the World Series...they're screwed. But they SHOULD win it all.
