Best pitcher right now in the majors = Jair Jurrjens

6-1 with a 1.56 ERA and in every start so far this season he has gone at least 6 innings and has never given up more than 2 earned runs.

I got to admit I didn’t see that one coming.

I was able to sneak in and pick him up as a "free agent" week before he came back in my Fantasy league.

i got him very late too..ive been a jair fan since his rookie year..i got into a heated drunken debate 2 years ago when i sed that he has the stuff to be the best in baseball and all my friends wer yellin at me callin me an idiot..i shoot them texts every start he makes this year..they all just reply "wow nuts"

and whats crazy too is he doesnt throw as hard anymore..its all location.hes learned how to pitch..

i was arguin about wainright too..i was sayin jurgens and wainright both have potential to be the best in the game

tigers traded this guy and i was so pissed off when they did, he does start the years much better than he finishes though and is a bit prone to injury.

Not at all. Jurrjens has had one of the top three starts to a season in the past 25 years.

Doubtful, but if he does he’ll end up with a record around 20-4 and an ERA around 1.50.

He should be a shoe in for the Cy Young with those numbers, but with the way people vote Halladay could probably come in with an 18-9 record, a 2.50 ERA, and twice as many strike outs and win it.

 

8 innings of 1 run ball tonight put JJ at a 7-1 record and a 1.51 ERA.

No starter in the majors has a better record OR a lower ERA.

I think it’s safe to say that RIGHT NOW he is the best.

Timmy has a 5-4 record and a 2.22 ERA

Felix has a 5-4 record and a 3.19 ERA

unequivocally the best; I've seen Jair pitch a copious amount and his stuff is unbelievable; I think the best is YET to come for him as well

I agree with the Matt Joyce comment because there was some retard on this forum saying that Santos was the best closer in the league cause he hadn't blown a save all year, numbers dont tell the whole story especially 1/3 through the season i like Jurrjens alot but he barely cracks my top 10.  Sure he has better numbers right now then the guys up there but lets see him do it consistently.
